All My Children Update for Friday, 19-Aug-2005

Greenlee and Kendall are brainstorming about how Kendall will carry Greenlee’s egg. They look at a brochure and go over all of the procedures involved. They reflect upon the fact that it’s possible that Kendall will have multiple births and how her cycle can be ready for pregnancy. They notice that they need official documents in order to go through with this arrangement. Greenlee remarks about what a miracle it would be like to have a part of Ryan living..

Right then, Erin returns to notice Ryan snooping through her home. He behaves like she shouldn’t have any cause for alarm nor want him out of her house after she’s told him to leave her alone too many times already.

Krystal and Adam talk about their plan to get David to cough up the secret of Dixie Martin, no matter the cost.

Tad and Dixie are kissing and admitting that history, once again repeats itself.

In the Chandler living room, Amanda tells JR that she has “delivered the goods” for him. He better get ready to pay out to her for her help in arranging the plan for Jamie and Babe to break up, she tells him. But he’s not really certain that it’s happened completely according to their plan. He reminds her that nothing will change and Phoebe’s Will does not require him to offer anything to Jamie unless Jamie officially and willfully dumps Babe. Amanda assures him that that has already happened. He reminds her that nobody has bought any of her scams before.

Jamie has walked into the motel room to notice Babe in bed with Josh. She tells him she “didn’t mean to hurt him but it just happened”. But Josh “confirms” to Jamie that they will not attempt to “cover” anything. She explains that the moment she met Josh, they just “clicked”. The night he helped her get her car back from those frat boys, there was an instant connection. Josh “bluffs” to Jamie that he had her in the back seat of the car that night. They also remind Jamie that they are “doing the deed” right in the very same place where Babe first met Jamie. She tells Jamie if he is angry with anybody, it must be her. She tells him that all she cares about his having a “good time”. He seems much angrier with Josh than he is at her. She explains that too much pressure was happening in her life with the wedding and everything. She tried to do things the “nice way” by sending him off to school without breaking up with him. But he would not get it. So now she must resort to “Plan B”.

Amanda tells JR if he does not believe what she is telling him, he may go and check it out for himself.

Tad explains to Dixie that he has always wanted to move on and has tried. She tells him that she has wanted to get over him and hoped that she would just wake up one morning and her feelings would change. But they both confirm that perhaps they are “not done”.

Krystal and Adam go to David’s after they believe David is out cold and she informs Adam that she knew that David knows something about Dixie but he refuses to give it up. Even for his baby girl. So, she concludes, they must play hardball. She goes to find David’s truth serum. But he is ready to forget their plan. She reminds him however, that he has his own interest in all of this. It will protect his son as well as protect her daughter. He tells her they must “get the truth” first. She tells him that he wants JR to stop believing that woman is his mother. She gives him a bottle of truth serum and asks him to take it. He refuses and suggests that she takes it. But she tells him all he needs to do is take it and start talking and yakking. And if one ounce of truth comes out of his mouth, then she will know that the stuff is effective. He tells her he won’t take that stuff. It could kill him. She tells him that she’d risk her life for her daughter. He then tells her he’d be willing to “taste test” for JR if it could confirm the results. But at this point, they know are just “guessing”.

Greenlee urges Kendall to get herself ready for pregnancy. She admits that they have been through so much. Kendall has done some nasty things to her. And now she is taking on a huge commitment for her. Kendall then promises to take all her vitamins, do all her exercising and do whatever the doctor wants. Greenlee tells her that after she’s helped her bring Ryan’s baby into the world, she will do for Kendall whatever she wants.

Ryan tells Erin that he has been going through her stuff in order to find any signs of her “boyfriend”. He justifies to her that he was just concerned. He tells her he knows “somebody” gave her the bruise. She tells him he has an active imagination and needs stay out of her business, go away and leave her alone. He then tells her he remembered she got a delivery when she was out which he signed for. And he pulls out a bottle of what looks like prescription medication and asks her about it.

Babe tells Jamie that she cannot keep having this worthless life living on grease and tips. She tells him she tried to find away around Phoebe’s Will so that he could go to med school and have a better life. But he is so mule-headed. Josh offers to leave but she tells him he must stay. She goes on to tell Jamie that she wants a better life than living above that garage, pissing JR off and all. She wants more time with her son. And Josh has enabled her to realize that she can have a future. He asks her if she is just implementing her plan for him to practice medicine, by “playing doctor” with Josh.

Right when Krystal and Adam are “experimenting” with David’s potions, trying to find the right one and assuming David is passed out and unconscious, David suddenly awakens and surprises them. It looks like he’s been playing possum all the while.

Ryan asks about Erin’s prescription. She first tells him they are allergy pills. But Ryan recognizes his brother’s anti-psychotic drugs, the very same kind he used to attempt to poison Greenlee. He asks Erin if she is ordering them for herself or for somebody else.

Right when Tad and Dixie are “conferring” on the patio, they get a surprise visit from Dell Henry, brother of Dixie. Tad asks if he recognizes Dixie. He confirms that he does.

Jamie seems to know that Babe is pulling off a phony act. He tells her he remembers all too well a very similar “scam” she attempted to play with JR, involving Bianca. She tells him again, that there are some very obvious biological differences in Josh than there are in Bianca. She, again, tells him that she wants more than he can offer her. She tells him she must drop the act. She then asks if he wants proof and she removes the covers from herself and Josh to expose their naked bodies. Right then JR enters. Babe then tells them both that the show is over. They have both seen her like this. And maybe the two of them can go have a beer together and talk about what a “skank” she is. Right then, Amanda walks in, appears like she is “shocked” and tells Jamie she is so sorry for what happened. Jamie tells her she need not be because he knows this is all a prank.

Greenlee, Kendall and Simone bond and promise to get through this together. And they will always remember and love Ryan. Right then, Simone asks if they have planned a memorial service for Ryan. Hearing that, Greenlee reveals that she is not ready to let go of her husband.

After revealing to Erin that he knows she’s ordered anti-psychotic drugs, he asks if she has some guy in her life who is mentally ill or an anger management case. That must be the dude who hurt her. She keeps telling him there is no “guy”. He reminds her that this stuff is very heavy duty. It’s no joke. When Jonathan stopped taking this stuff, it ruined him. And when he considers that she might be telling the truth that there is “no guy”, assumes that maybe she is taking them herself. He is shocked, remembering that she does not seem mentally ill or violent. But then, how would he know?

David wakes up, picks up the bubbling potion and scares the living daylights out of Krystal and Adam. He calls their bluff and tells them if they think they are going to get some “truth” from him about Dixie, they can forget that.

Dell confirms that he recognizes his sister and is amazed that she came back from the dead. She goes to hug him so that she can whisper something in his ear that Tad cannot hear. She says: “Dell, please don’t blow my secret.”. He asks Tad if he can be alone with his “sister”. Tad tells him he needs to be with Dixie so maybe Dell can send a postcard. Tad tells Dixie he does not trust that dude, remembering his previous track record.

Jamie tells Babe that he knows that she “arranged” for this to happen because she thought it was the only way for him to get Phoebe’s jackpot. Amanda tells Josh that Jamie should put a fist in his face. JR tells Babe is a worthless skank. Babe tells Jamie that no matter what he believes he knows, nothing has changed. She no longer wants to be stuck with him. Josh, on the other hand, is fun and not stuck in a rut. Jamie may stay stuck if he wants. But she doesn’t want that.

Kendall and Greenlee confirm their bond and Kendall offers to stay the night. Greenlee turns in while Kendall stays up.

Ryan demands to know why Erin is taking the medication. Does she hurt herself? Is she psychologically damaged? She tells him he better get out of her home or else….He tells her he’s not going anywhere until he gets some answers. Right then, she gets on the phone. He asks her whom she is calling. She seems to know Ryan’s phone number at his Pine Valley residence. OH, she’s gonna put that NOSY arrogant jerk IN HIS PLACE! She dials and Kendall answers the phone. Erin asks to speak to Mrs. Ryan Lavery. OH, THIS is gonna be FASCINATING!

Jamie claps and tells Babe she put on a nice performance. But he does not buy it. He asks her what he is supposed to do. Walk out and call her a slut? She tells him he may do whatever he wants. Amanda asks Jamie why he wants to stay and be concerned about this terrible person. JR tells Jamie he needs to get out of there. But Jamie is not going anywhere.

David tells Krystal that this “little secret” is all he’s got. And he’s not about to give it up. Adam tells her he’s just bluffing. She asks David if their daughter means anything to him. He tells her absolutely. But he’s not about to disclose any secrets about Dixie. Dixie is going to rock the Chandler’s world and the Martins’. And he’s going to sit back and enjoy the show.

Alone with his “sister”, Dell asks her what the hell she is doing pretending to be Dixie.
