All My Children Update for Monday, 22-Aug-2005

After Babe and Josh have been caught in bed by Jamie, Amanda and JR, Jamie tells Josh, Amanda and JR that they all need to get out. Babe tells them Josh is not going anywhere. Amanda tells Babe it’s pretty messed up that she can apologize to her “lover” but not to Jamie. JR tells Jamie that he may now decide the fate of his future. And Amanda and JR leave.

Tad and Brooke are playing pinball. He can tell that she has something on her mind. She tells him that she is concerned that her son is going to marry Babe soon (Or so she believes). She tells Tad that she really upset by their son's decision to get married so young, first of all. ANd more importantly, the fact that he is throwing away his future in order to marry Babe. Tad tells his ex-wife that it is neither of their decision to make. It’s Jamie decision. ANd he won't change his decision.

Dell asks “Dixie” why she is pretending to be the real Dixie. She reveals to him that she has half Dixie’s genes and now she will have all of her life.

When Erin makes the call to “Ryan’s wife” and Kendall answers the phone, Kendall tells Erin (not knowing who she is) that she will give “Mrs. Ryan Lavery” a message, since Greenlee has gone to bed. Erin tells Kendall that she may inform “The Missus” that Ryan is still alive. Hearing that, Kendall demands to know who this is. She assumes it’s a “crank”. She yells at Erin, telling her that it’s a sick joke for her to be making calls about Ryan being alive and she hangs up. Zach then enters and Kendall tells him about the call. Ryan asks Erin how she could “do such a thing”.

After JR and Amanda have left the “scene” of Babe and Josh in the sack, he asks her why she is still there. She tells him he needs to pay up because she has “delivered” on her end of the bargain. He tells her that she had no “doing” in this. It was Babe’s choice to do what she did. And he seriously doubts that Jamie really will dump Babe.

Jamie tells Babe that when she goes and does things behind his back, it just digs “them” into a deeper hole. She protests that she did what she did because she wanted to. He tells her he knows that she just wants to “fix” things. And he tells her again, that she does not need to. He loves her. More than Phoebe’s money. More than med school. He chose her over those other things. But she cannot accept that or trust his choice nor realize that he knows what he wants.

Tad tells Brooke that he went over to see Dixie in order to write her off. But he got a little “side-tracked” and wound up kissing her. Hearing that, Brooke does not seem surprised. She tells him that she knows that he will always be “hooked” on Dixie no matter what he says or does or what happens to either one of them.

Dixie tells Dell that prison was a special kind of purgatory. But then she met many of the people whom Dixie knew and loved; JR, David Hayward, Tad. And she was able to see how Dixie’s death broke their hearts. She saw that they needed her back. And she gave “her” back to them the only way she knew how. He asks how everybody could have bought that she survived the crash and had extensive plastic surgery. She tells him that Adam ordered conclusive DNA testing. But it somehow “confirmed” that she was the real Dixie. She tells him that she was cheated. She and Dixie never had the same life, or parents or toys. She was shipped out and sent to live with her aunt. No love, no family and no home. And now she can have that. And she is not going to give it up. It feels good. But he tells her that she must give it up. His “sister’s” life is not for her to take. She must get a life of her own. But she reminds him that he owes her more than he owes the real Dixie.

Zach asks Kendall about the mysterious woman calling and saying that Ryan is alive. He tells her that as much as she wants to think that Ryan is alive, she needs to wake up and realize he is dead. (Liar, liar). Kendall says she realizes that. He tells her in that case she needs to get this idea out of her head about having a “Ryan baby”. Hearing that, she asks him how he could possibly know about that since she’s never had a chance to tell him. He admits that he’s had her followed and knows all about it. He tells her he knows that Kendall’s “interest in holding Greenlee’s hand” throughout this situation is not going to help anybody. He asks her if she feels guilt. She tells him he cannot tell her how she is supposed to feel and reminds him that he thinks he knows so much about guilt and is so perceptive. Doesn’t he have a very similar issue about Maria going thousands of miles away? And so he has to “play the hero” for Maria’s baby sister. He tells her he knows what he is doing. But when somebody is dead, nothing and nobody can bring them back.

Erin tells Ryan that a “mental illness” is nothing to be ashamed of. She tells him she was very close to a psychotic break after Jonathan died. He tells her he is very sorry. She tells him he should be since he killed his baby brother. She “explains” to Ryan that she talks to a psychiatrist and takes her meds. And the rest of her life is peaceful and easy. She tells him that when she lost Jonathan, she wanted to die. And now she has gotten better. But now that he is back, it’s messing everything up and making her suicidal all over again. She tells him if he wants to “help” her, then he needs to go away and stay dead.

Jamie still sounds as though he does not buy this thing about Babe sleeping with Josh. But he invites JR and Amanda back into the motel room and announces to them that he has officially broken it off with Babe.

Tad informs Brooke that Dixie’s brother, Dell is in town and he just talked to him. Dell asks “Dixie” why she is pulling off this scam. Again, she tells him that this is the life she wants and deserves to have. And nobody is going to take that away from her. Not even him.

Kendall asks Zach why he has this “obsession” about Ryan’s baby. Why would he care? He must be keeping something from her. He asks him what his secret was.

Ryan tells Erin that he’d like to move nearby and be in her life. She tells him he will not control her life the way he did with Jonathan. And right then, she “slips” and tells him he cannot do this to “us”. Hearing that, Ryan can tell that she is keeping a secret. Everybody has believed that Jonathan is dead. So why would she “foresee” anything happening to “us”.?

Zach tells Kendall that he has hundreds and hundreds of secrets. And nothing in their “vows” says that he has to share any of them with her. She reminds him that nothing in their “vows” says that he has the right to have her followed. She tells him that nothing and nobody is going to stop “her” from doing what she wants to do. Right then, Zach figures out that Kendall intends to have Ryan’s baby for Greenlee.

Ryan seems to be “onto” something with Erin. Right then, she looks afraid for the first time. She tells him if he does not get out of her home, she will call the cops. He searches around her house, then goes outside and asks her what she is hiding. She tells him there is nothing.

Jamie declares that he will officially break up with Babe and get Phoebe’s money and go to med school. She says great. He will get his life back and so will she. He leaves with Amanda. Alone with Babe, JR asks her to tell him the truth. Did she really sleep with Josh or was that a “stunt” to enable Jamie to dump her in order to get the money and go to med school?

Dell asks “Dixie” what kind of “plan” she set up to make herself into the real Dixie. She protests to him that she did not plan this. She was in prison. And it just happened. She tells him that Dixie’s loved-ones could have turned on her or refused to forgive her but they did not. She asks if he’s seen JR. He has been so lost but is now finding his way back and he needs her. She asks him if he would not believe that Dixie would want this for all of them. She asks him if he can realize how right this is. He then walks out the door without speaking.

Alone with JR, Babe makes a “sarcastic” comment about how it’s “been so long” and asks what he is waiting for. He tells her enough of the games. She tells him he should know she’s all about games. She’s the same tramp he fell in love with. Whenever she doesn’t get what she wants, she just takes off her clothes and jumps in the sack with somebody. So now Jamie is out of her life. And she tells JR he MUST now give Jamie everything he is entitled to. Hearing that, JR seems to know that she is doing all of this out of her “love” for Jamie. She tells him that she is doing this for her son. He has no idea how far she will go. And she demands he gets out. He leaves but knows what she is up to.

Ryan is able to tell that Erin’s “cabin” is bigger on the outside than inside. So he knows that there is another room that he has not been able to enter. She gets upset and threatens to call his wife. And right then, he knows that there is another room, behind the closet door.

After witnessing Jamie making that “earth-shattering” decision, Amanda is really happy, gloating as though she’s “gotten her man”. She makes nice to him. But he screams at her to get out and leave him alone. He is very upset.

Babe is also upset and bawling her head off on her pillow.

JR comes home to his “mommy”. She can tell that something has happened. He admits to her that he doesn’t know what to think or feel or what really has happened just now.

Ryan finally opens the door behind the closet and discovers something (or somebody) SHOCKING. It’s SICKO BROTHER BACK FROM THE DEAD!
