provided, as well as snacks. And I know when my niece worked the polls one time, roughly 10 years ago, she was paid to do so, but she was in a different county.

I just Googled...yes, our poll workers in Ohio are all paid for their time. Some make more than others but none get less than $100 for the day. Which, yes, isn't a lot of money for a long day of working the polls but TBH, I don't know how many work the entire day and how many work part of the day.
