I’m not sure about that. I’m also not sure how much interpreters get paid but I know they get paid. When I worked the polls on Election Day, everybody worked the full day with two meal breaks. We had to be there by 5am and the polls closed at 9pm. There is a lot to do after the polls close so we were often there until midnight. So, an 18-19 hour shift. It is a very long day.
