and honestly, I think he very much wants to take someone's land. I think this is like his hunger to have a parade with tanks. He wants LAND, damnit!

This has driven home to me how little Canadians ever show Americans our teeth. It doesn't really serve us to do so, but also, we have all these Canadians in comedy and movies and music and they just all always play into the idea that we're a bunch of cartoon animals who got together and made a country. And Trump didn't really understand that we are actually a nation of hard-drinking, hockey-worshiping brawlers. I've seen so many Canadians say "we have two modes: Sorry and You're gonna be sorry." -- this is pretty true. We are plenty aggressive when we're angry.

Sure, Musk encourages chaos whenever and wherever he finds it, but Trump has been banging this drum since his first term.

Musk, unfortunately more a Canadian than an American, doesn't like us. The feeling is pretty mutual.

We're just pissing off our closest ally for absolutely no coherent reason I have ever heard described. It's like Trump had the understanding of a drunk toddler when it came to tariffs. Which tracks, that's generally about how well he understands anything. That'd be funny if so ****ing many of us weren't so ****ing stupid as to BELIEVE him.

This is the key part. There is no REASON for this. It only hurts the US. It doesn't help them at all. Why do it? Certainly not for any of the reasons Trump was elected.
