I think the ratio is like 8 or 9 to 1 or something close to it, in terms of how much the US makes from exporting goods to Canada versus the money Canada makes from exporting goods to the US. There's genuinely not a single, tiny scrap of legitimate justification for us to attack Canada with tariffs. It's deeply, deeply stupid. It harms both economies and alienates our closest ally, who DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO INSTIGATE THIS.
But I'm sure we'll be doing something horrible to the UK, France, and Australia next. We've royally ****ed over Ukraine and we've alienated Canada and Mexico with an asinine trade war. I'm sure we need to keep going down the list of allies to alienate.
I hate everything about this timeline.
