average American. So many things are out of reach for the average family these days. I have opinions why this has happened but will keep away from that opinion.

In my experience Store brands aren't as good as name brand but would be interested to know if store brands have suffered the shrinkflation most store brands have. Shrinkflation isn't new post covid, it happened yrs ago and continues, we notice it because packages are half their size now. Personally I'd rather pay for the normal size products. Has anyone else found recipe ingredients are affected by this shrinkage? A can of veggies/fruit use to be 16oz, now 12-14oz. My fav candy recipe from a Betty Crocker recipe book call for 14oz of caramels, can anyone find those? Hey Kraft your shrinkflation affects my candy? I don't want to open two cans to get 16oz the recipe calls for. I noticed this many yrs ago.

This CEO is catching a lot of heat but it's no different than the restaurants upping prices and dropping portion sizes. Inflation is a major issue in our country, the answer seems hard for most to come to grips with. Anyone buy a car lately?
