The doors that stick (one is hard to open and one is hard to close) haven't been fixed yet. The rekeying of the doors has started. I think there's only one lock to go. The lights stopped discoing (flashing on and off).
I met with the concrete guy. (Still no bid from the contractor's folks.) His offer for the entire wrap around patio (I'm guessing about 34' X 10' at the back of the house including the removal of the current stoop by my daughter's door and about 9' X 19' along the side) with five inches of concrete, rebar, and footers all around for only $16K. Could have been much worse. We've struck a deal. I owe him half as a down payment, then he'll put me on the schedule. He should be able to start the work about two weeks after he gets the deposit and the job will take less than a week to complete. No walking on it (and keep the dogs away from it) for the first four days so it can set.
