Ah. I did not know that the shortened season was Mike White’s idea. I guess I just assumed that it was a cost-cutting decision.

the 26 day version of the game rather than the 39 day version. The current version of the show is generally referred to as "the new era" and that's what is primarily meant by it.

I have no clue what you’re talking about here, LOL! I love Survivor in the moment but after a season is over, I retain very little about past seasons.
Ok, well.. look up the guy who won David v. Goliath and you'll see why I don't want to get into it on this board ;)
