dinner for minimal-wage, if not minimum wage, employees and making those employees pay for their own entrees (or any part of the holiday dinner). I’m not clear about whether the $100 gift card that the RM gave to your SM was meant for your SM alone and she chose to share it or if the RM meant the $100 to be for the store’s entire staff.

Most of my career was spent working in the nonprofit world, but my employers were always very generous with holiday parties. Maybe I was luckier than I realized.
