I've been doing these for years, and more and more I do added research into case law, etc.

I just submitted an analysis that I did not complete until I had a copy of a settlement agreement from the bill's main advocate (the woman who brought the idea to the legislature) showing that there is already precedent for what the bill aims to do.

I also did this recently (as I noted) on a land use bill.

Anyhoo, I kinda enjoy it. I think they should pay for my law degree :P
