...but if he thought he had some amount of leverage by keeping relatively quiet publicly, he should have learned his lesson long before he has. We can't stop Israel from doing what they're doing - we don't have to give them as much offensive ammunition as we have. It won't necessarily save many Palestinians, but we don't have to actively participate to the extent that we have for as long as we have. Biden looks about as naive on Netanyahu as your average 2016 GOP Senator was about Trump, and that's with the kindest look towards Biden I can give him (that he does care that the civilian toll in Gaza has been far, far, far too high and Israel is still viciously fighting a war they're clearly losing). It's possible Biden really doesn't give a ****, lol, he hasn't really done much to indicate he does.

That said, as I said yesterday, I don't think the suffering of the Palestinians will get any better under Trump and it's entirely possible it will get worse. But if Biden loses and Israel/Palestine is a factor, I wouldn't say it's not in large part a self-inflicted wound.
