I understand the people who want to do everything possible to assist their pets. but sometimes, I don't AGREE. Leo isn't 3 or 4, the measures BFF seem to want you to take will only prolong things for a couple of weeks? months? that's not for Leo, that's for them.

B is the one who found Leo and has rescued literally dozens of cats without help all on her (and her husband's) own. She's the type who will do anything and everything to save a kitty; once, she had a cat that she was feeding by hand literally every few hours. She was waking up in the middle of the night to feed this elderly cat. And bff, well, this was her mom's cat. And her mom passed only last October. I've wondered if she feels like Leo is a connection to her mom that she doesn't want to lose.

I think once Wednesday rolls around, you will know exactly what needs to be done. it could be that Leo has a stubborn tooth that is making it painful for him to eat, but with his health issues not eating is far worse for him......

I will feel better getting a diagnosis from a vet I trust rather than one I never even saw in person.

But here's the thing, Vicky, if it is time for Leo to go, know that you have given him the very best. You and your Dad have loved him, spoiled him, taken care of him and he loves both of you. And even tho your time with him might be running short, you changed his life. And i think he changed yours as well.

He did indeed.

my heart breaks a little bit for both of you tho - i AM typing this through tears (((HUGS)))

I'm typing through tears too.
