few of us have Zelle/Venmo. Separate checks for individual families is how we do it.

Some of us have taken to carrying cash to leave as tips and give it directly to the waiter/waitress.

6 of us went out once where we had to prepay (it was a special seating on NYE). We paid and then the siblings gave hubby cash to cover their portion.
