He was in the role. He is an actor at that point, not the executive producer.

Is being the executive producer something you can just turn on and off? His name was always going to be listed under "executive producer", so to me, it doesn't matter than he was acting at that moment as opposed to, what, actively producing?

Actors accept that the drink they're going to have is going to be tea as a substitute for brandy...and are shocked, often to the point of having to reshoot the scene, if it's really brandy. If the actor thought it was tea and slammed it back, they might gagged and sputtered because the brandy burned. Was the actor supposed to check the drink? No, they knew what was going to be in the glass. Same with the weapon.

Pfft...I'd be sniffing the contents of that drink the second I'm handed it <g>.

Every armorer starts off with their first few jobs. The armorer was hired to do a job and was qualified to do it. He hires specialists, with certifications, because he doesn't have the skills to do the tasks himself or he can't be everywhere a once.

Yep. And every surgeon has that first patient he or she operates on but there's usually another skilled surgeon there to check their work the first few times they operate. It's AB's fault he hired the armorer with little experience and nobody to double-check her work.

If that were true, only commanders would be in Leavenworth.

So...there was never an operation that went so totally FUBAR that grunts AND commanders weren't thrown in the brig? Again, the armorer is already serving time. Doesn't mean the blame stops there.

Feeling unsafe isn't a chargeable offense.

It isn't. But it should be cause for concern.
