It was a well acted and well shot movie but I had a lot of questions.
It really was. One scene that immediately springs to my mind was Mozelle looking into the mirror and recounting what happened the night her lover killed her husband. ![[link]](/gfx/btn/Link.gif){kind=small}
And also when Cicely straight up challenged her mother. Lynn Whitfield's expressions were so on point. She went from shock, to disbelief, to authoritative in under a minute. Such an amazing actress.
What questions do you have?
I wonder if it was real or a figment of Eve's imagination.
I believe it was real. All of that happened.
Apparently it's based on a book(which I didn't read) maybe that provided more clarity
