for the ballplayers (and vendors and other stadium workers) and most people have to work on 9/11. But the MTV Awards is about celebrating musicians...I'm not sure a celebratory event that can be scheduled on literally any day should occur on 9/11. I feel sorry for those with a birthday on 9/11, or at least those old enough to remember the events of 9/11. The feeling might fade over the decades--I doubt a lot of people with birthdays on December 7 are terribly bothered by it, unless they're over the age of 85 or so--but right now, it just feels wrong to be celebrating on 9/11.

On a VERY tangential note...I recently took a quiz on Buzzfeed asking me to identify the "celebrities" of today, mainly Gen Z and younger. I did better than I was expecting to but only because it was multiple choice <g>. Honestly, the only ones I absolutely knew for certain by image were Billie Eilish, Timothée Chalamet and Lil Nas X. The quiz was maybe...I wanna say about 25 celebrities long?...and not only did I not recognize anyone else's faces, I'd never heard of the majority of the so-called "celebrities", especially those famous for their social media accounts. I'm actually pretty OK with that <g>.
