* The Bear Town series by Fredrik Bachman (Bear Town, Us Against You, The Winners). This is the story of a hockey town with big dreams, and I cannot remember when I have enjoyed a story more.

* Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. She never disappoints, and this story of poverty and opioid addiction in Appalachia was no exception.

* Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel. She wrote Station Eleven. I know some of you watched and liked the series based on the book. This story is about time travel. There’s a related book called The Glass Hotel that I want to get to at some point.

* I finally finished The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles. I started and stopped a couple of times, probably because it wasn’t what I expected. But once I got into it, I loved it. I think it would make a great movie.

* The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese. This is the story of a family in India that unfolds over several decades. It’s loooong, but I loved the story, which is beautifully written.

* I’m currently reading American Dirt by Jeanine Cummings. I’m only about 5 chapters in, but it started off with a bang, and I think I’m going to like it a lot.
