an "autumn squash and sage" pizza from a place I didn't even know existed despite it being one town over. I couldn't find a phone # anywhere for them, and when I went over to just order in person, the place was a little hard to find. I'm thinking they're pretty new...anyways, they specialize in fancy pizzas and craft beer. My pizza tonight--a butternut squash puree topped with sausage, fancy Italian cheese, caramelized onions, sage and a drizzle of hot honey--was very creative and quite good. A few small complaints...it was a very sweet pizza that could've used a bit more salt. The "drizzle" of honey was so faint, I only noticed it on a couple bites. And while the wood-fired pizza had an absolutely perfect crust--toothsome and delicious--it was SO thin, it folded under the weight of the toppings when you picked up a piece, so it was a bit messy. But very yummy!
ETA--I was more amused than I should've been that my pizza box was actually ROUND. This is the first time I've ever gotten a pizza in a round box--it looked like a hubcap--and I don't know if other places have them, but I thought the round box was absolutely brilliant!
