grad courses had a lot of graphic novel reading, and I've read the most of the Buffy and Angel ones...which I don't really recommend because some crazy things happen that should not be canon :P

I see Lucy Foley everywhere! I don't think I've read one by her though.
My Ph.D would have included a lot of research into the small town/urban divide in contemporary Spanish literature...and yeah, small town novels tend to be one of the two things...either an idealization or a condemnation....it's definitely a theme.
