Eve is talking to a credit card company complaining about having reached
her limit and needing a cash advice.  Matt comes in and she hangs up.  She
gripes about the way the others are treating her, blaming it on the fact
that
she didn’t side with them at Joe’s hearing.  He points out that it may
just
be that nobody likes her.  He brings up her letting Scotty leave the
hospital
and she rants that Scott’s on earth just to ruin her life.  She leaves.

Angi...oops!  Ellen is looking at a stuffed toy and some doctor supplies
when Matt comes in and startles her (he’s the doctor on call).  She asks
if
the chair gives him the right to just barge in chief resident gives her
the
right to treat people any way she pleases.  Matt leaves

Scott is worried about the effects on Serena of being kidnapped.  His
father
tries to comfort him, but Scott wants to be alone.  He calls Lucy - he
wants
to make sure that she can make the drop without being seen.  She tells him
she can but is somewhat upset.  Scott tells her he was able to disconnect
the
tap and he’ll connect it after they get done talking.  Kevin comes in and
wants to know what’s wrong.  (Meanwhile, Rex is listening in on a
speaker).
Don comes in to get Lucy’s next dress - the dress has a black skirt and
sparkly
rhinestone top.  Lucy goes nuts about how she hates that dress and get it
out
of her sight.  (Danielle comes in and chides Rex about eavesdropping.  He
asks if she’s ready to go to work.  She pulls on some coveralls and says
it’ll
be the acting job of her life.  Rex tells her that it will also be the
highest
paying job of her life.)  Don protests that yesterday she loved the dress.
Lucy grabs it and throws it into a trash can outside the door.  Don looks
confused and Kevin says to him “hormones”.  She tries to get Don to choose
between two other dresses, he testily tells her that she could go out
there in
nothing but spurs and leaves.  Kevin tells her he knows she’s stressed
about
Serena, calms her a little, and leaves.  Outside the door, Danielle
empties the
garbage and leaves.  Lucy puts on a green dress with weird little matching
green strips in her hair.  She looks at the trash can and runs in to Scott
to
tell him that the dress is gone.  Kevin comes in, overhears and asks her
what’s
going on.  Luckily for Lucy, Don comes in to get her.  Lucy takes off.

Ellen gives Matt a lecture about playing by the rules.  He says he does
when
he’s on duty - off duty he doesn’t just let it go when people are rude.
Another
doctor comes in (I forget her name) and says hi to Matt who then leaves.
She
talks to Ellen about missing Dr. Faulk and how it’s okay to miss your
best
friend.  Ellen says his mother called and wants his stuff.  Dr. X tells
Ellen
she needs to stop feeling guilty about taking Faulk’s place - it’s not her
fault
he was murdered.  She says Ellen needs to relax and just be herself.
After a
commercial, Dr. X is gone and Matt comes in.  He looks at a pen that Ellen
says she gave Dr. Faulk - Matt tells her that she should keep it - he’d
have
wanted her to have it.  She leaves.

Eve arrives at Scott’s and accuses him of making up the kidnapped
daughter.
He shows her the ransom money and she calms down and apologizes.  She
agrees to a drink.  They have a drink and chat.  She gets distracted by
imagining herself tossing the ransom money in the air and letting it fall
around her.  She mentions how a person could live for months on just a
little
of the money.  He says he’d give 10 times that to get his daughter back.
She
says she’ll pray for them and leaves.

Back at Rex’s,  Danielle brings in the dress and Rex cuts something off
the
sparkly part and looks at it through a loupe.  He tells her they are rich.
 She’s
excited and says “So now it’s all over”.  He tells her she should know
better
than that - “now, it begins.”  (Cliffhanger and the only scene that
doesn’t end
with someone leaving the room)
