Frank and Julie are still arguing, Chris arrives.  Frank is not
happy to see him.  Julie sends Chris outside, tells Frank not to go
anywhere, and also heads outside.  Chris tells Julie about the
Cooper family lawsuit and that Cooper is being transferred.  Julie
goes back in and Frank bitches at her a little more.  She asks if
their friendship is over.  She tries to explain, but he doesn't
understand.  He gets a page and leaves.  She takes the newspaper
article and lights it at the gas range.

Jake tells Scott that Lucy's pregnancy has been compromised.  Scott
is not happy about Jake's cold attitude.  Eve tries to make Serena
feel better but is condescending.  Serena opines that Eve doesn't
know much about kids. Eve gets a little better and is chatting with
Serena when Scott appears. Eve leaves, promising Serena that she'll
return.  Serena asks Scott if Lucy is going to be all right - Scott
hugs her.  He tells her that Lucy will be fine, but she needs to
stay there a while.  He tells her that the baby was born too early
and that it was too small to live.  He tells her Lucy and Kevin are
very sad.  She asks about her birth, he tells her Lucy was there
when she was born and they were both happy that she was born
perfect.  He points out a bright star and tells her he thinks that
star is watching over the baby.  Serena tells him not to worry, her
mom will watch over the baby.  Eve returns to sit with Serena while
Scott goes back inside.  They talk about the stars, Eve points out
some constellations.  Serena points out the star that is her Mommy
and tells her about the baby being with her.  Eve notices a bruise
on Serena's arm, and is concerned though Serena isn't.  (Gee, a
bruise on an active small child what are the odds?)

Lucy's doctor tells Kevin and Lucy that she cannot hear the babies
heartbeat. She tells them there is probably an abnormality and tells
them the factual but extremely non-comforting "These things happen
for a reason."  Lucy breaks down while Kevin tries to hold it (and
her) together.  Lucy says she wanted to name the baby Simon if it
was a boy.  Kevin tells her it's a nice name and tells] her he loves
her and will always be there for her.  The orderlies come to get
Lucy.  She gives him her ring to hold for her and she is taken out.
He looks at the ring and starts to break down.  Scott comes in and
puts her hand on

Kevin's shoulder.  (These scenes were *very* touching)
