Joe fantasizes about Karen telling him that she doesn't want Jagger,
then they start kissing.  Karen interrupts his reverie - asking why
he's looking at her so funny.  He says he has to go and leaves the
break room.  Later he come back and they argue over Jagger's
devotion to his marriage (or lack thereof).  Karen gets mad at
leaves, nearly running over Eve who's on her way in.  She tells Joe
to give up on finding the elusive Soul Mate..

Eve is trying to reassure Scott about Serena's bruise, but he thinks
the kidnappers did something to her.  Serena and Gail come home,
Scott wants to see the bruise, but Serena brushes off his concerns.
Eve tries to charm her, and Scotty finally tells her he has to see
the bruise, so she shows him.  Scott asks her if the kidnapper's did
it, she doesn't answer.  Eve says it's the kind of bruise you get
from a needle.  Serena says she hates needles and would remember
that.  Gail and Serena go off to read.  Eve thinks he should have
told Gail his concerns, but he's afraid word will get out and he'll
be seen as a bad parent.  When Eve says he's perfect, he tells her
he didn't used to be.

Gail knows that something is wrong with Scott and asks about it.  He
tells her he's worried that the kidnappers did something to her and
that they're still out there.  She tells him he needs to get past
that.

Danielle tells Dom's tombstone that she needs to just leave PC.  Rex
can't carry out his plan without her.  Lucy overhears her saying she
needs to find the strength to leave and questions her.  Danielle
gives the lame excuse that it would be better for Scott and Serena,
Lucy doesn't buy it.  Danielle asks how Lucy is doing, she tells her
she just needs to take it easy - no heavy housework (which she says
will be easy, she's been in training for that all her life).  They
discuss Lucy's fears of not having a child of her own and how Dom
feels near at the cemetery. When Lucy says Danielle is like
Dominique, Danielle is uncomfortable with the comparison.  She tells
Lucy about her mother's life being cut short. Lucy wants Danielle to
tell Scott who she is, Danielle disagrees.  Lucy starts feeling bad
and Danielle offers to drive her home.  They get home and Lucy
invites Danielle in - she comes into the living room and sees Scott
- Lucy tells him that someone is there that he should know.

Rex shows Bess (Jason Quartermaine's ex-baby-sitter) slides of Lucy,
Dom, Monica Q, Alan Q., Jason Q. as a little boy, Scott.  He wants
her help to do what is right.  She said she only agreed to tell him
about the Q's because he said Scott was using another child the way
he did Jason.  She tells him the story of Jason Q's birth - Alan had
an affair with Susan Moore which ended in pregnancy (Jason).  She
tells how Scott married Susan Moore on what he though was her
deathbed, just so he could get custody of her child and thus have
access to his Q trust fund.  After Susan was murdered, he forged
papers allowing him to embezzle money from Jason.  Monica took Jason
in and has raised him as her own child, and Scott was exposed as a
con man. Rex asks if she'll testify in court, she says she will but
thinks he should talk to Monica.  She tells him that she heard Scott
was a changed man, but Rex says he hasn't.  She believes him because
she can tell he's “a good man.”
