Jake drops in on Rex to tell him what he needs for his end of the
bargain - $40K for a lab, etc.  Rex says he'll get him the $$$
tomorrow.   Jake says he'll take a check and admits he doesn't trust
Rex.

Hallucinating Scott thinks he sees Eve, but then the vision passes. 
Scott tries to get on a chair, but laughingly decides it's too high.
 He tries to get control and manages to pick up a phone.  Eve
arrives and wants to take him to the hospital.  He wants her to go
get Serena from a Halloween program at school.  She doesn't want to
leave him, but he insists.  He tells her that the secret word is
'stardust' - that will get Serena to go with her.  Eve tells him to
drink lots of fluids and leaves.

Lucy is upset about being stuck in the faucet - but Kevin is amused.
 Audrey arrives, and Kevin explains the situation.  Audrey tries to
stifle her laughter, as does Kevin (who in a bit of reality, holds
his head like it hurts when he laughs).  Fortunately, Audrey has a
set of keys.  Audrey comes in and releases the toe (first time in 34
years).  She promises not to tell anyone about it, and leaves the
bathroom to talk to Kevin.  They chat about head injuries - he asks
about dreams - he had an odd one right before surgery.  After a
break, Lucy and Kevin are cuddling.  Eve calls to tell her that
Scott is sick and can't be left alone.  Lucy takes off, and Eve
turns around to face a questioning Serena.

Rhonda comes to the door and wants to discuss Karen with Scott.  She
thinks he's drunk, being somewhat of an expert.  He tells her he's
not drunk and tries to stand and collapses.  He convinces her not to
call an ambulance and to keep quiet about the situation.  He then
passes out.  (Cliffhanger)  (I thought Rex had put LSD on the
envelope, but I've never had it make me...er, I mean, my friend
who's done it, pass out - so I think TPTB are going for some mystery
drug)

Karen asks Joe for advice about what to do about her conflict with
Devlin. She's upset at the politics of being a doctor and worried
that this mess could end her career.  Joe tells her she has two
choices - let it go until it blows over or fight.  She says she has
to fight and wants to go tell Kevin the truth.  Audrey arrives and
discusses Karen with Joe.  Audrey thinks Karen should fight the
accusation - just like Dr. Burgess did.

Karen goes into Kevin's room where he's dozing.  He sits up and
Karen (using her medical skills) says "You're awake!"  She tells him
about the IV situation.  He remembers her lifting his head - they
even joked about how high to lift it.  He thinks she worried about
nothing and makes the unsettling comment that doctors make mistakes
*all* the time (stress is his).
