'Tis better to have loved and lost,
than never to have loved at all...

Lucy and Karen in a car. Lucy is trying to get a psychic image of where
Serena and Scott are. Shes sees them in a picturesque park-like
setting. She realizes she should have known that that is where they
would have gone. They drive off.

Scott and Serena turn out to be in a special place of Scott and
Dominique's — a gazebo. Serena wants a gazebo for her dollhouse and
Scott promises to make her one.

In the on-call room (which is now Operation Julie Central), Frank shows
Kevin pictures of Julie and Cooper. Kevin flashes back to the scene of
his hospital room IV tampering. He thinks it was Cooper who did the
tampering.

In Cooper's basement, a flash of Julie tied and gagged.

Cooper is at the hospital, disguised as a patient with head trauma.
Devlin bumps into him — and apologizes, wants to know if Cooper is OK.
Cooper plays a game with him and engages him in conversation, realizing
that he hasn't been recognized. Cooper says, "aren't you the guy with
the daughter who's missing, from TV?". Cooper wishes him luck in
finding the SOB who took her.

Papa Devlin to Mama Devlin (what is her name? — I forget, and they
didn't say it the whole ep.), he's bought more TV time. She wishes the
news people were giving this story more time.

Kevin, Frank and Chris are talking about the "coincidence" of the fire
starting in Cooper's room. Garcia enters with the autopsy report on the
victim in Cooper's bed. Can't prove the victim is or isn't Cooper, not
even the dental records are of use due to the severity of the fire.

Jake to Joe: Can't believe what some kooks will do for money, as he just
received a phone call from someone wanting Julie's reward, even though
he didn't know where she was. Jake thinks some people can be so
heartless [he's obviously thinking of Rex].

Rex and Danielle at Rex's. He is showing her the family furniture
heirlooms. He wants Danielle to make herself at home. He leaves
Danielle, and she begins to snoop at his desk. It turns out Rex has the
house wired for sound and picture; he is spying on Danielle, thinking
that people are so predictable.

Karen and Lucy find Scott and Serena. Karen and Serena go off to eat
sandwiches. Lucy is pretty ticked at Scotty. She's mad, Gail is
worried and this has to be the stupidest thing that Scott has ever
done. Scott defends himself — they weren't splitting town, just having
lunch together. He just wanted to spend time with his daughter.

Serena explains to Karen that her parents used to come here. They agree
that it is a very special place.

Lucy tells Scott she felt he would be here to be close to Dominique. He
just wanted to share the spot with Serena, to make Dominique feel alive
to her. Scott wonders if he'll ever get over losing Dominique. Lucy
doesn't think he has to, as love never disappears. Scott wonders if he
will ever fall in love again. Lucy says maybe, if it's right, but if he
doesn't it's OK, because he experienced such an amazing love with
Danielle.

Scott's not surprised that Lucy found him — he did think that at least
he and Serena would have had time to finish lunch first! This place
made him forget about the mess he's in for a little while. Lucy wants
him to remember the trouble he's in, so he can work toward getting out
of it. Scott will admit to her that it did occur to him in the car with
Serena to just keep driving — to Mexico, like he did so many years ago
when he lost Laura. Lucy tells him he needs to walk the straight and
narrow and play by the rules this time, as that is the only way to win
this.

Rex returns to Danielle. He asks her if she found anything of interest
snooping in his things.

In the on-call room, Mary tells Frank that Father Wizowski disappeared
the night of the fire after visiting a parishioner at Forest Hills. He
sent a letter after the fact, saying he had gone away. Frank says this
sounds suspiciously like the call the hospital received, supposedly from
Julie, after she disappeared.

Danielle denies snooping, she was looking for an aspirin. Rex offers to
get her an aspirin. Danielle wants water too. Rex wants a healthy,
happy, and nurturing home for them and Serena, and will do whatever it
takes to get that.

Mary speaks with the Devlins in the on-call room. She tells them Julie
is a strong and intelligent woman and she knows that Julie will take
care of herself. They thank Mary and everyone else for all they are
doing. They talk some more about how great Julie is. Mary is praying
for her.

Garcia enters and gathers them all around. Father Wizowski signed the
log book at Forest Hills, but the signatures don't match.

A security guard stops a man in black trying to get into a locked
hospital room. The man turns and pushes a wheelchair into the guard and
runs off. Cooper in another disguise.

Lucy tells Scott it was so difficult for her when he left with Serena.
Scott says he wished he could have taken her with him, he wanted to. He
is glad they are together now. Karen and Serena join them. Scott's
phone rings, Lucy answers it for him. It's Mac. He's found the guy who
owned the casino Scott was gambling at. He says Scott was there to pay
off his debt. Serena wants to know when they can go back to the
firehouse. Scott says soon, but he is taking her back to Gail's for
now.

Off in the distance, someone is taking pictures of the foursome with a
zoom lens.
