Chris comes out of his room, cheerful and whistling. Eve on the couch is
in much less of a good mood. They discuss the kiss - Chris liked it, Eve
denies that she did. Later, Eve comes out of the shower in a towel to turn
up the heat. Chris comes home and tells her to leave it alone. He's crabby
because his Lexus has been stolen. Eve goes to dress and Chris calls the
police. He finds out that it's been re-possessed. Eve goes to take his place
at work. Chris calls the loan provider and argues that he's always been on
time and never got any late notices (while he's holding in his hand a letter
that says "Final Notice".) They want him to bring down cash, he tells them
to take it up with his lawyer. He hangs up and stares at the painting over
the fire place and calls a Mr. Harper about buying it. He's upset that Harper
only offers half of what he paid for it, but agrees to sell it. Eve comes home
and is amazed that his car was found without being stripped, etc. She asks
about the police report - he says he mailed it to the insurance company. Eve
then notices the painting is missing - he tells her it's at the framers being
stretched. Chris tells her that it's time she made other living arrangements.
He tells her that it's hard working and living with her - he's becoming
attracted to her. She thinks he's kidding, then realizes he's serious. She
leaves the room. He looks sad for a moment, then smiles and congratulates
himself on another brilliantly executed Ramsey kiss-off

Lucy and Kevin talk about *Brenda's nervous breakdown. Kevin tells
Lucy about Serena and Dominique. Lucy thinks it's wonderful - Kevin
thinks it's normal to have an imaginary friend. Lucy wonders why he
thinks Dom is imaginary. Kevin tells her about the sweater and Gail's
address book. Lucy gets served to testify against Scott. Lucy is very
upset about having to testify against her best friend. Kevin warns her
against perjury - if Scott did get convicted, the perjury charge might keep
her from Serena. Rex comes in the restaurant - Lucy feels like slapping
him - but Kevin thinks this is a good opportunity to stage another fight.
They fight about Lucy's neglecting Enchantment because of Scott. She
rants about his joblessness, he rants about her insecurities. She stomps
out while Rex smirks.

At home, Lucy is packing and Kevin comes in. They talk about how they
didn't mean what they said, and how they both hate what they have to do.
He goes to hug her, but the drapes are open so she stops him - she thinks
they're being watched. They discuss (with angry tones and gestures - it was
pretty funny) going into the bathroom with it's small high window to say
goodbye and work on that baby they're trying to conceive. Kevin stomps
out, followed by Lucy after she throws some clothes around. Later, they
"argue" again about her going to the hotel and tell each other how much
they love and will miss each other while throwing things at each other.
We get a view of the fight from outside the window (implying that some
one is watching) and Lucy leaves.

The Scanlons need $6000 for a new furnace. They try to think who has
that kind of money, but can only come up with Chris. Julie offers to lend
it, but Frank thinks it's a bad idea to borrow from a friend. He tells Joe
they'll have to try and get a loan from the bank.

Julie thanks Karen for the night's lodging. Karen admits that she yelled at
Bennett for his smugness while hurting Scott. Joe and Frank come in (they
are all at the hospital), the bank turned down their loan request. Joe points
out that without a furnace, the pipes will freeze and they'll have even more
debt. Frank reluctantly accepts Julie's re-offer for a loan on the condition
that they pay interest. Later (apparently the interns work 10 minute shifts)
Frank and Julie sign papers about the loan. Joe somes in - he's finished the
other room, so they can bring in another tenant to help pay things off . Julie
tells them not to blame her when they end up with a weirdo for a roommate.
