From: lisa@clark.net (Lisa Spodak) Subject: PC: Apology & Update for 1/13/98 Date: 14 Jan 1998 04:32:46 GMT Hi! First I want to apologize for falling behind on my updating (PC Tuesdays) duties. No excuse really, except a really busy holiday season. Anyway, one of my New Year's resolutions is to do better. :) So, here's today's update (and I'll try to post the ones I'm behind on, soon). Port Charles 1/13/98 Lucy and Eve plot to distract Rex so Lucy can get the goods from his house. She snagged his keys at dinner and snuck off and made a wax impression of them so she could sneak in. The plan is for Eve to vamp for Rex and keep him occupied while Lucy "ditzes out" and says she's lost a valuable bracelet that she has to go look for. Lucy is armed with her ring of duplicated keys and instructions from Scott's security guys on how to get through Rex's security (she says Danielle told her about the security system before she died). Lark complains to Julie about not having anything to wear when she goes to visit her mom. Julie tells Lark she's always wanted a little sister and offers to take her to the mall for some clothes. Lark is all for it, but gets pissed when Julie has to put off the excursion to finish some paperwork. Julie suggests having a personal shopper from Windhams (sp?) come over with some stuff. Lark doesn't think they'll come, saying she's only a teenager with a part-time job, but Julie says they *better* come over with all the money she's dropped there. Lark likes that her new friend is "loaded." Eve does her best Marilyn Monroe imitation--subway grate and all. Rex is... distracted. Lucy does the ditz thing and goes to "find her bracelet." Julie and Lark are checking out sweaters with the personal shopper. Julie buys the $32 red one, but passes on the $140 cashmere. Lark's pissed and figures she'll hang on to the cashmere one anyway, stuffing it under the couch cushion while the shopper settles with Julie. Kevin and Scott meet with the caretaker from Serenity after arguing a little bit about the situation Lucy's in trying to help Scott. Scott says he didn't ask her to sneak into Rex's house, but Kevin says he *did* ask for her help and she's been working this dangerous plan ever since. Eve and Rex do some flirting and agree to have dinner together. Rex gets a call from one of his security guys, who tells him one of the "new guys" let Lucy in the house to look for a bracelet. Rex say's he'll take care of that immediately. He tells Eve it was a business call from Hong Kong. They agree on a seafood dinner, but when he goes to use his cell phone to make the reservations, he says the battery's low and excuses himself to use another phone. Lucy talks herself into Rex's house and makes her way to his study. (Didn't realize before how perfect her outfit was for a recon mission--black leather skirt [short and easy to move around in], black leather jacket, black gloves.) She uses her magic keys to open the lock box and finds.... it's empty. "Only Rex would do his spring cleaning early." She figures the papers must be in his bedroom and heads there. "Certainly the last place I ever thought I'd end up." She searches for a locked safe place, and finally finds a wall safe behind a picture. She opens it... jackpot! A stash of papers. The Serenity caretaker remembers Dominique fondly, Rex not so much--"a beast." He thinks Rex poisoned his cat because the cat took a nap in his car once and left a few hairs on the seat. The caretaker says they were all afraid of Rex and believes he was "born pure evil, he was the bad seed." As he's leaving, he remembers the name of the mental hospital where Rex spent some time. Julie comes across Lark and the cashmere sweater and doesn't buy for a second Lark's explanation that the saleslady left the sweater behind by mistake and "finders keepers." Eve is freaking out because Rex has disappeared and she can't get through to warn Lucy. Julie brings the saleslady back and tries to get Lark to apologize. When she refuses, Julie apologizes--and returns the red sweater. Lark says she didn't like it anyway. Julie warns Lark, "I'm nice, not stupid. There's a difference." She also tells her that she's not going to get away with anything while she's staying at the Scanlon house and that if she takes responsibility for her actions, things will go more smoothly. Lark says she would have been better off staying at the juvenile center. Eve calls Kevin to warn him about the Lucy/Rex situation. Kevin rushes out to go to Rex's to help Lucy (though how he explained to Scott that Eve had tried to get through to Lucy but couldn't when Eve never actually *told* him that is beyond me). Scott tries to stop him, but Kevin refuses to let Lucy get hurt. As he's heading out the door, Lucy calls and says she found the bracelet--code to mean she found the papers. But she hangs up before he can warn her. As she opens the door, Rexie-poo is waiting for her and utters the immortal words, "Lucy, what on earth are you doing in my bedroom?" {commercial} Lisa lisa@clark.net
