From: mtczajka@aol.com (MTCzajka) Subject: PC: Monday Update 2/9 Date: 9 Feb 1998 18:03:34 GMT Kevin tries to get Lucy to come home with him. She tells him to go. He insists that she tell him that she doesn't love him. She tells him she married Rex because of the love she feels (meaning Serena). Kevin leaves. Lucy wants to go change - Rex wants to help her. She says he can't because of the tradition that the bride must get herself ready and present herself to the groom. She mentions the honey moon - he says he wants to wait until he gets Serena. She doesn't want a 7 year old on the honeymoon. He tells her he doesn't want to leave Serena with the Baldwins. He leaves to get ready for their first night. Lucy talks to herself - she says the old Lucy would have slept with Rex without problem, but the new Lucy knows that would cause her to lose Kevin for good. She also admits that she's kind of enjoyed kissing Rex. She goes over some options - slitting her wrists and bleeding all over his rug, drinking herself to oblivion and vomiting on his carpet...she picks up a bottle of wine and looks at it. She flashes back to being in the hospital with an itchy rash, talking to Audrey. It turns out she's allergic to some of the ingredients of that wine. She opens the wine and starts drinking. Rex comes in to see Lucy in a sexy nightgown - all blotchy and puffy. She wants him to kiss her and hold her, but he doesn't want to touch her. He reluctantly holds her, looking disgusted, while Lucy smirks. Meanwhile, Kevin hits a bar with the plans to get stinking drunk. The bartender points out that there probably aren't any cabs - but Kevin says he'll just have to spend the night. Kevin says he'll never understand women - the bartender says women weren't meant to be understood - they're on earth to drive men crazy. Kevin says that's sexist and untrue. He looks around to see if anyone is listening, then says it's sexist, but true. Jake comes in, looking for a storyline, and Kevin fills him in on Lucy's marriage. They regret that Jake didn't kill Rex when he had the chance. The three of us toast the downfall of Rex Stanton. Jake says if he had killed Rex, Danielle would still be alive. Kevin tells Jake that they can get Rex by bringing Danielle back from the dead! (Cliffhanger) Gail is out of the car and calls 911 about Karen going off the road. She gets back in the car and holds Serena to keep her warm. Serena asks where Karen is - she thought Karen was coming to help them. Gail says they have to pray Karen is okay (not telling her that Karen's car went over). Frank arrives and goes to check on Karen while his partner tends to Gail and Serena. Serena asks about the other car, Gail doesn't tell her it's Karen, even though she's near tears. Just then Frank opens the doors of the ambulance - he ran into Karen climbing up from the crash. She's shaken and scraped up but generally okay. Gail tries to get Frank to just jump start her car so she and Serena can continue on their way. He tells her to let the Auto Association get her car later he's taking them to General Hospital. She tells herself that she'll just have to find another way. Eve arrives with a very sick Scott at the hospital. Joe helps take care of him, and tells them that Karen went to take care of an emergency. Later, Karen comes in to the hospital and tells Joe about going off the road. The two hug in relief. She goes in to see Scott. She tells them about Gails plan and that it didn't work. Scott wants to go to Serena, but Eve won't let him. Scott wants to help Gail and Serena get away. Marguerite Marguerite.Czajka@ChicagoIL.NCR.COM
