From: mtczajka@aol.com (MTCzajka) Subject: PC: Update Monday 3/9 Date: 9 Mar 1998 18:23:05 GMT I missed the first few minutes, since ABC had to break in and tell me it was snowing. I was quite shocked, but relieved to learn what that cold white stuff was. The Mancusis prepare to go to PC and put Dr. Harmon out of his misery. Lucy tells Scott and Kevin that not only is Jax cosmetics completely broke, people all over the country are getting sick from the herbal pills she marketed with Rex. Her chemist, Dr, Van Zandt arrives. He has ordered samples from the field to see exactly what they contain. The symptoms of the problems are intestinal. Lucy wants to recall all the pills, Van Zandt concurs. The lawyer is Scott comes out and tells her that would leave her open to legal problems. V.Z. does some checking and finds out that the De-Stress on the shelves are not the ones they manufacture. Somehow, someone has refilled all the bottles with something else. Kevin realizes that someone on the inside must have been in on it. V.Z. heads back to the lab. Lucy has started the recall, and Scott and Kevin offer to help her financially. She wants to do it herself using her personal assets. Kevin gets a call - Jax is on the news. They turn on the TV, fortunately just tuning in at the exact right time. There is going to be a class-action suit. Lark and Eve are in the kitchen when Frank comes in. Lark starts to defend herself, thinking that Eve has already told him (she hadn't). Lark says she apologizes for not giving Eve Scott's message but Eve didn't seem to accept it. Franks thinks she probably apologized with an attitude, and since she's so bad at apologizing, maybe she should stop doing things she needs to apologize for. Lark goes to take a phone call in private. Eve teases Frank about Lark's crush on him. Frank isn't worried - it happens all the time with students and teachers. He reminds her he's not a teacher anymore, but the idea of even ex-students falling from him disturbs him. He and Eve joke around while Lark listens to them laugh outside the door. Later, Lark's phone friend, Alex, arrives in leather and on a motorcycle. She nixes Frank's offer of using the kitchen table and takes him downstairs. Frank tries the door and asks Lark to unlock it. She asks if he doesn't trust her - he tells her that he trusts an unlocked door more. Chris talks to Matt at the hospital. He wants to make sure Matt isn't mad about the email since he didn't do it. Matt is indifferent. Chris says he'd be leaving town if the rumours are true. Later, Matt talks to Joe, Julie, and Karen about a young patient. Karen goes to check something on the PC and Matt "sees" them each typing the threatening note to him. He awakens from his daydreaming and takes off. He goes to the Recovery Room and asks Grace to meet him. First he mentions how dead the place is - no one is there. He tells her about his daydreams and how he freaked out when he saw someone come towards him. He knows someone really wants him out of town and asks if she sent it (for his own benefit). She tells him no, but if she thought it would have worked, she would have. He tells her he's really worried as a Mancusi henchman looks through the window at them.
