PC Update; 20 May 1998

Hi all: I'm back from a great conference in British Columbia, and off
again to teach an ecotoxicology course in Cuba for two weeks. Glad I
could get back to see a week of Lucy "in costume" before I go soap-less
for two weeks. Not to mention -- Laura's back on GH!!! Ciao, -Deb

Julie speaking with Lucy at Scanlons'. Julie wants to find killer. But
maybe focusing on Eve not right way to look at things. She's found that
Chris recently got $20,000 from her dad for a painting, but she thinks
that Chris is lying. Lucy thinks that if Chris is involved, then Eve is
probably behind it. Lucy borrows a lab coat from Julie ö she is going to
impersonate a doctor in order to get info on Eve.

Scott phones Julie. He's received discovery materials from Dara. Scott
explains that he has materials to find out what prosecution knows. He's
upset because it seems that Julie has been keeping something from him.
He's on his way over to see her.

At Scanlons', Scott says he (and prosecution) now knows that Julie was
previously investigated for murder ö of her brother. She didn't think it
was important. She'd pushed it all out of her mind. Her fingerprints
were all over the gun. Buddy killed himself, and she picked up the gun
when she walked in on him and found him. She wasn't thinking about
murder investigations (then or now) when she found his brains splattered
all over. Scott's not blaming her, he just thinks she should have told
him. Julie says her brother was a suicide, therefore irrelevant and
inadmissable. Juvenile records are sealed. Scott says she knows a lot
about the law ö so she must know that she needs to tell him everything.
Dara can still ask questions that could make her talk about her brother
and make her look like a whacked out killer.

Frank and Lark at hospital. It's been a while since Frank had a drug
fix. Lark leaves and Joe catches up to Frank. Patient actually had
nice things to say about Lark, and Joe wanted to tell her. Frank sees
someone in meds room, and thinks that they're breaking in. Frank whips
him around ö he knows him, it is a person named Gary Pike. He's an old
buddy football player. His back's screwed up and his doctor wasn't
giving him enough meds. He needs the meds. If he stops taking them, he
feels like he's going to die. Joe gives him a number for a treatment
program. Joe wants to call security. Frank wants to give the guy a
break and tells him to take off. Joe thinks it was a mistake letting
him walk out.

Lucy is in sexy white lingerie under a lab coat. She is speaking to a
new customer on the phone with a fake french accent. She wants to know
if the customer remembers Eve Lambert. He does. She slips out of her
accent. She makes a date. The customer wants a threesome, but Lucy off
to meet him. Dressed in her outfit, she's surprised when Kevin comes
home;. He wants to know where she's off to, dressed like that.

Lucy tells him he startled her. He's glad he wasn't Victor, the sight
of her might have given him a heart attack. he tells him she's wearing
a costume for the Nurse's Ball. A new strategy ö she starts out barely
dressed, and is fully dressed by the end of the show. He wants to know
what the number's about. She says it's about doctors. He doesn't want
her to go out in public in it, because others would find her as sexy and
attractive as he does. He starts kissing her and her beeper goes off.
Kevin wants to know why "you doctors are always on call." She says
she'll schedule him in. Lucy calls in and finds out that the client is
ready to leave. She says she's on her way. Kevin gives her a coat to
wear, and tells her that when she's ready to tell him what she's really
up to, he'd be happy to listen. She tells him he's suspicious. Garter
belts and a lab coat ö hmm ö who would be suspicious. As long as she
isn't running off with another man...

At the hospital, Frank asks Joe if he's heard any more from Gary. He
thinks he should help him. Joe says that Frank tries to save everyone.
It's his job, but Joe doesn't think it has to be his life. Joe brings
up their father. He drank himself into his grave, and nothing they
could do made a difference. It's not any of their faults. Frank
angrily asks Joe how he knows that their dad didn't want help. Joe
thinks that he should forget about their dad, they've used his example
to choose a different way to live. Frank thinks it could happen to
them. Joe says that the dad he sees Frank doing drugs is the day he
puts a gun to his head.

Scott tempts Eve with cheese-o's. Scott wants to know what Eve's first
impression of Julie was. Eve thought Julie was sweet in a cornball sort
of way. Julie told Eve that she grew up in a large Catholic family.
Eve noticed that her wardrobe was expensive, so obviously she had lied.
Thinks now that she is uptight ö wound up really tight. Saw her get
really upset once ö when she found out her mother slept with Chris.
Lark is the only person who really gets under her skin. Eve thinks
maybe there's a shadow of a doubt creeping in ö is she off the list of
suspects? Scott says she never was on the list. To be fair, Eve
thought Scott might have had a hand in Devlin's death at one time.
Scott's phone rings. He tells Eve that Julie is turning out to be more
of a client than he had bargained for.

Frank speaks with Karen about her drug. He wants to know if she's going
to be working in the lab tonight. She's not, as they're testing
aggression hormones in the rats. Frank says it must be disappointing to
see such side effects, when the drug was so promising to start. Karen
says she hasn't given up hope yet and will be starting on a new
formula. Frank wants to know what's going to happen to the old
formula. Frank then says that he thinks he left his sunglasses in the
lab. Karen gives him the ring of keys. Joe comes in. Gary's dead. He
od'd in the mens' room upstairs. He broke into the supply cabinet and
shot himself up. Joe says he's sorry to Frank, as they were friends in
school.

Lucy's lost her client because she was so late. She wants another
chance, but she gets fired. Lucky for her, a cancellation calls in and
she gets to keep her job. She is given a wig to wear. A wig and nothing
else. The gig is to jump out of a cake.

Kevin hears a beeper go off in the lighthouse. It's Lucy's and he calls
the page. The person is looking for Angela D'Lite. He hangs up, but
then gets a pensive look on his face.

Scott meets with Julie at the hospital. Wants to know her whereabouts
during the pediatric circus. She overheard two people say she'd killed
her father, so she went in the on-call room to be alone. She took the
stairs to get there. He tells her an eyewitness to Grace's murder.
"Grace was murdered by a clown, " she says, seeming upset.

End.
