Port Charles - Friday Update - July 3rd 1998

Mac visits GH and asks Kevin and Lucy how Serena is.  They tell him that
she may be blind.  He asks if they want to postpone the wedding.

Matt and Chris spar before the board meets.  Boardman invites them into the
room to begin the hearing.

Lucy thinks maybe they should wait until Serena is better, but Mac and
Felicia should go ahead without them.  Kevin and Mac agree.

Scott sits by Serena's bedside as Joe and Karen come in.  They talk to Serena
about her space toys.  Karen asks Scott to come outside and talk while
Joe entertains Serena.  They run into Mac, Kevin and Lucy.  Karen says
she has good news.  Serena's bandages are coming off today.

Julie and Eve are at the nurses' station as Lark and Frank come out of the
elevator.  Lark is happy  to be back.  She and Julie exchange pleasantries.
Lark leaves and Julie explains to Eve that she and Frank are definitely over.
Eve thinks things should be easier for everyone now that the killer has been
identified.  Julie apologizes for suspecting Eve of murder.  Eve apologizes
for not coming forward with the bracelet evidence.  With that out of the way
Julie asks Eve if she thinks Chris took the pictures.  Eve says she wouldn't
put it past him.

The board meeting proceeds.  Matt brings on his witness, the one hour photo
man who testifies that Chris is the man who brought the pictures in to be
developed.  Chris says he's lying and Matt is setting him up.  Boardman
orders Chris to sit down.  Chris apologizes.  Ellen explains how humiliated
she was by the violation of her privacy.  She says the standards of common
decency and conduct becoming a doctor were violated by  Chris when he
took the pictures.  Chris asks for an opportunity to defend himself.  He says
he's a scapegoat and that he worked hard to get the Quartermaine residency,
and he deserves it.  The committee considers their decision.

Kevin, Lucy and Mac visit Serena.  Mac tells her he knew her Mom and
that she was deaf for awhile and she got better.  They tell Serena they're
thinking of postponing the wedding.  She begs them not to and says she'll
be better.  They agree to go ahead.

Frank gives Eve Lark's backpack and asks that she give it to her.  He
studiously ignores Julie who is sitting behind the Nurses' Station and
leaves.  Eve notices a chill in the air. "Suits me just fine," Julie tells her.

The board reconvenes.  They tell Chris they think he did do it and they
are revoking the Quartermaine.  When Chris protests Boardman tells
him that he's lucky they didn't fire him.  They conclude the meeting and
Matt seems pleased.

Chris confronts Matt at the Nurses' station.  Julie and Eve stand nearby.
He says it isn't over by a long shot.  Matt agrees.  He's just getting started.

Dr. May takes off Serena's bandages.  She's blind.  Scott tries to comfort
a frightened Serena.

Mac calls Kevin out into the Hall.  He has bad news.  Jake's death wasn't
a suicide.  He was murdered.

Matt finds a very frightened Lark in the on-call room.  He asks what's wrong.
She hands him a note she found in her back pack.  It says, "You die next."
