EVE GETS THE GOODS
------------------
Eve comes to the nurses' station, elated. She tells Chris that she
has the surveillance videotape. She is on her way to tell Scott. She
knows that she was still the one who left Serena alone in the car, but
this tape will show who Lucy really is.

There's quite a crowd in Serena's room, between the people (Kevin,
Lucy, Scott, Karen, and Serena) and the toys (a variety of stuffed
animals). Serena is only "kind of" happy to be going home. She's
also scared - how will she live there if she can't see. Scott reminds
her that the mobility specialist says Serena is doing fine. Lucy
assures Serena that all of them will be there for her. Karen bought
her a new pair of glasses.  Serena doesn't want the new glassses;
Karen thought she might want some options. Serena hates wearing
glasses; what if she has to wear them forever?

Before Eve can show the tape to Scott, Garcia comes to see Eve. He
asks about her pen - which was exactly like the murder weapon.
Between that and her bracelet by the body, he has questions. He
wonders where she was last night when the killer called WLPC. He
takes her down to the station to take dental impressions to match the
teeth marks on the pen. Eve refuses; Garcia tells her she can come
voluntarily or he'll get a warrant. She finally decides to go with
him.

Serena and Scott, accompanied by Kevin and Lucy, arrive home. Scott
has to encourage Serena to use her cane. Serena slowly navigates her
way around the room, counting steps and so on, while Kevin and Lucy
look on. Serena is sad that she can't see her mommy's star anymore.
But Neil told her that whatever she can't see with her eyes, she can
see with her head. She wants the light saber Neil gave her, but they
discover that they left it in the hospital. Lucy offers to go to the
hospital and get it. Kevin has to meet the musicians at the wedding
rehearsal.  Serena asks her to count the steps in the church for her;
Lucy tearfully promises to do so. After they leave, Serena falls and
hurts her knee; unhappy and frustrated, she begins to cry.

Eve arrives back at the hospital, picking wax out of her teeth. She
explains to Chris about her encounter with Garcia. Chris is worried
about their joint (and false) alibi for Devlin's murder. Eve heads to
Serena's room to talk to Scott; when she arrives there, she finds Lucy
leaving the room with Serena's light saber. Lucy tells Eve that
nobody will believe she had anything to do with the accident; Eve
can't believe that Lucy is denying guilt. Lucy tells Eve that people
reap what they sow; Eve retorts, "I hope you believe that." Lucy
continues to harp on Eve's role in Serena's accident, and then exults
that she is about to marry "the kind of man you can only dream about."

Meanwhile, Serena has basically given up hope. Scott is trying to
convince her to do things on her own, but she insists that she wants
Scott to carry her to her room. She doesn't want to be in the
wedding, and she doesn't want to wear the glasses anymore. She
dissolves into tears again. Scott admits that this isn't going to be
easy, but encourages her to try. Serena asks why Scott couldn't do
anything to fix her eyes. He tells her he would give anything to do
that, but he can't right now. He wants to help her to do things on
her own. But Serena insists that it's too hard. Scott tells a story
about building a birdhouse as a child that is supposed to show the
value of doing things for yourself; it doesn't work. Serena asks
Scott again to carry her upstairs "just once"; he can't refuse her.

Lucy arrives home with the light saber. Kevin is there; she suggests
that they drop the light saber off on their way to the wedding
rehearsal. Lucy tells Kevin how blessed she feels to have him; he
tells her how long he's been fantasizing about having her as his wife.

Back at the nurses' station, Eve tells Chris about her encounter with
Lucy. Eve has decided that private revenge won't do: Lucy needs to
be publicly humiliated.

GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER
----------------------------
Karen and Joe meet in the hall at the hospital; Joe gives Karen the
cheery news that Courtney is moving into the Scanlon house. He's
doing it for Neil. Karen is upset, but Joe assures her that Courtney
is not what he wants anymore. Karen is still upset; she feels "once
bitten, twice shy" because of Jagger's affair. Joe thinks Jagger was
crazy to let Karen go; Joe isn't that dumb. He is not going to let
Karen go, and he is simply tolerating Courtney for Neil's sake. Karen
likes the word "tolerate." They kiss.

Back at Chez Scanlon, Joe tells Frank that Courtney is moving in.
Frank gets upset; he doesn't like the way Courtney treated Joe. Joe
doesn't understand why Frank is so upset.

Courtney arrives at the Scanlon home. She thanks the guys for taking
her in; Frank ungraciously responds, "Well, it was Joe's idea, not
mine." Joe goes to the car to get the rest of Courtney's stuff; while
he is gone, Frank and Courtney trade insults.
