The episode opens with Kevin finding Eve at the Nurse's Station and asking if she's seen Gail. Eve reminds him that Gail's out of town, then aks if she can help. Kevin tells her that he's been having visions of Ryan. A horrified Eve gives him a sympathetic hug - just as Lucy walks by.
Meanwhile, at the Scanlons', Frank and Joe are giving Garcia the shoebox containing hypodermic needles and vials of something. Neil found the shoebox hidden in Eve's former room, they tell him.
At the hospital, Mary is surprised to find Victor in "Mr. Miller's" room. He tries to tell her that he's working undercover, but she'll have none of it, until Lucy comes in and verifies his story. Before Mary leaves, Victor "casually" suggests to her that they could maybe get some coffee or something later on.
After Mary is gone, Victor and Lucy sit down to talk. He tells her that his memory is back, and now he realizes that she and Kevin aren't married. Lucy tells him that if wishing really worked, she and Kevin would have married many times over. Then, Kevin and Eve arrive, and Lucy promptly takes her leave, but not before seeing that something is worng with Kevin and asking him if he's all right. He tells her that the strain of having Victor in the hospital is getting to him.
At the Scanlons', Joe is talking to Courtney, expressing his discomfort with Neil living in a place that a killer could have easy access to; he feels that it's not healthy for him. As he suggests that Courtney and Neil move out, Neil comes into the room and protests that he likes living there. Courtney quickly insists that the healthiest place for a child to be is where he wants to be; Joe agrees and he and Neil quickly get involved in a game of Noogie Monster.
At the hospital, Eve is suddenly accosted by Frank, who claims that she is setting Julie up. Eve denies it, but Frank says that the fact that the drug equipmant was in a ladies' shoebox is proof. Eve points out that anyone could have taken one of her shoeboxes from the recycling bin and put the stuff in it.
Lucy gets back home to her hotel room, and is enthusistically (and loudly) greeted by Sigmund. They talk for a bit, then Lucy asks him if he thinks it's over for her and Kevin. Moments later, she's changed the subject determinedly, and is discussing the possibility of going "clubhopping" with Sigmund, who evinces no enthusiasm. Lucy agrees and decides that they'll just watch TV again instead. She turns on the set and finds an old-looking sci-fi/horror flick sequel-of-a-sequel entitled "Giganticus III: Return of Evil."
Cut to Joe, Neil and Courtney, watching the same movie. Courtney affectionately teases her son about his enthusiasm for the movie. Neil promptly tells her that Joe has every line memorized, to which Courtney replies that the movie "has ten lines of dialogue," eliciting mock outrage from both guys. Neil starts tossing popcorn for Joe to catch in his mouth, thus causing them to be otherwise occupied when the doorbell rings. Courtney answers it; it's Karen, here to watch Giganticus's reign of terror. Courtney is distinctly less than pleased.
Cut back to Lucy, who is somewhat less excited about the movie - she's fallen asleep, thus necessitating a dream sequence which I found to be far better than the usual ones. It's formatted as an old, black and white foreign movie, which seems to be both dubbed in a random language and subtitled in English. Lucy's subconscious has cast Kevin in the role of Doc-iki, a mad scientist who has created Giganticus to detroy the city of Lucyoko. Victor is a military officer who tries to convince Doc-iki to call off Giganticus, but to no avail. Cut to Giganticus, storming the city in a terrible costume. Naturally, it's Eve. She confronts Mothralena, who is defending Lucyoko - it's Lucy herself, of course, in an equally awful costume. They fight (although I didn't pay much attention to the fight sequence - they don't interest me), flinging insults like, "Are those wings real?" (Giganticus to Mothralena). Eventually, Giganticus knocks down Mothralena, and she and Doc-iki leave arm in arm. Lucy awakens, horrified.
The real Eve is at the hospital, and a POV shot makes it clear that someone is watching her. The hospital is virtually deserted, and something about it is giving Eve the creeps. As she waits for her elevator, she gets increasingly nervous; more POV shots show the audience that the watcher is sneaking up behind her. Suddenly, Eve whirls around and sees Frank standing behind her. He issues a warning in a truly chilling, dangerous tone to Eve; she'd better leave Julie alone. He steps into the elevator and asks in the same tone, "Going down?" Eve turns and almost runs away.
Cut to the next morning; Neil and Courtney have prepared breakfast, and Neil's all excited because of the special treat they have for Joe - Giganticus pancakes! Karen walks into the room, catching Courtney by complete surprise - she hadn't thought that Karen was "still there," as she phrased it for Neil's sake. Neil is disappointed to learn that Joe had to leave early and won't get pancakes, but eagerly asks Karen to join them. After getting Courtney's permission, Karen joins them. Again, Courtney is unthrilled. An oblivious Neil destroys Giganticus with a hydrogen butter bomb, making Karen laugh.
Lucy is visiting Victor again; he's exercising. He tells Lucy that Mary is younger than him, so he needs to be in good shape for her. Lucy tells him an abbreviated version of her dream. Mary arrives, joking about how Victor must be using Lucy to make her jealous. As she leaves, Victor has a brainstorm - the way to get Kevin back is to make him jealous! After initally resisting, Lucy lets him talk her into it. And the plot thickens . . .
In another part of the hospital, Eve is telling Joe about her encounter with Frank. Garcia interrupts them with some grim news - the chemical in the vial was cyanide, which is what was used to kill Dr. May. Eve's fingerprints are on the shoebox.
