Daily Updates

Our episode begins with our favorite MIA duo Matt and Ellen at the hospital (where they must be spending a lot of their time as Joe, Karen, Eve, Chris, and Julie are otherwise engaged for the moment). Ellen has been trying to reach Kevin (as has been Gail and Mac - his answering machine will be flooded) to no unavail. Ellen tells Matt about Lucy and Scott's death.

Eve and Kevin try to digest Victor's news. Eve breaks down in Kevin's arms and Kevin's eyes fills with tears.

Scott wakes up and then wakes up Lucy. They are under the house, the floor caved in and now they are in a cave filled with tunnels. In typical Scott/Lucy banter/argue mode they discuss how to find their way out of the cave. Luckily they discover a flashlight apparently left by someone with foresight.

Courtney and Chris discuss whether or not they are too affected by the deaths to go out on their date. Not too surprisingly they take the very well thought out philosophy that "life is short" and decide to seize the moment. Courtney is oh so worried about poor Karen (as if). The atmosphere turns December cold as Matt and Ellen stop by their table (they are at the infamous rib place). It is revealed that our Matt is a vegetarian but is picking up ribs to take to the Baldwins. You just got to love a guy that is always thinking of others!

Matt and Chris shoot eye daggers at one another. Courtney wonders just how deep Chris's feelings are for Ms. Eve. Victor and Eve are feeling very guilty about their respective parts in Scott and Lucy finding themselves air borne over Florida. They worry about the affect on Serena and Karen. Kevin however is taking things way too well and Victor is worried about him (you can only carry stoicism so far). Kevin wants to go be helpful in Port Charles but they are fogged in. Instead Kevin helps Victor by telling him the accident wasn't his fault. After Victor heads off for bed, Kevin stares blankly out in the fog and Eve places her hands and head on his shoulders.

Chris wonders about life in Motel 6 - oops I meant chez Scanlon and about Courtney's interactions with her ex (he is worrying about the wrong ex I think). Kevin speaks about the difference between missing Lucy when she was alive and the way he feels now. Eve regrets that Scott was only now slowly letting her back in his life and now it's all gone. Eve reassures Kevin that Lucy loved him. Kevin is horrified that Lucy died the same way his mother and brother did (by fire and he had watched Ryan die that way) and hopes that they didn't suffer. Kevin tells Eve that Lucy and Scott had a friendship that noone could break apart - not him, and not them.

Lucy and Scott meanwhile are now arguing about her very unfeministic shoes. Lucy reveals she has had nightmares about being trapped in a cave.

AFter a quick check on Neil, Chris invites Courtney back to his place for um - martinis I think it was or some other such flimsy excuse. Courtney considers the matter deeply for about two seconds and says yes (okay Chris being the charmer he is very few would have said no). Karen tells a sympathetic Matt and Ellen about how hard it is for her to have lost her long searched for and hoped for father.

Eve reminisces about the early days of the Eve/Scott relationship and how she was hooked from the very first kiss. Kevin thought Lucy was "peculiar" from the first, but that didn't stop him from falling hard for her. Eve leans in to still stoic's Kevin's arms.

The sniping twosome have now ended up in a narrow tunnel where it looks like Lucy's nightmares have come true - Scott's stuck and it appears they are trapped!

Even though it wasn't really a Friday cliffhanger show as the further adventures of Bill put us a day behind, we still have some points to ponder over the weekend -

Will Kevy breakdown when the reality of Lucy's death hits him? Will Chris see through Courtney before it's too late (or depending on your feelings vice versa)? After many lonely months will Chris get a love scene (shirtless Monday?) And most important will we ever find out what happened to poor Siggy! Are there duck foster homes?
