Daily Updates

The action starts with Lucy, Scott Lee and Gail in the GH cafeteria sweating out Serena's surgery. Lucy and Scott are telling Lee and Gail about their trip, when Gail breaks the news of Brenda's death to Lucy. Devasted, Lucy insists on going to Jax, but stops when she sees Karen coming out of OR. Everything went well with Serena's surgery, she reports. Everyone plans on going to Serena's room.
Over at the Scanlon house, the tension is so thick that it can be cut with a knife! Neil's thrilled that his father's back in his life and is even more excited when John tells him that he will be living with them again and "they will be a family". Neil turns to Courtney for confirmation, who tap dances her way out of it by saying that "what your father meant was, that we'll always be your family, no matter where we're living, blah blah...."She sends Neil into the kitchen with Joe to make sandwiches and asks John what the real story is. He'll drop the custody suit for Neil if she comes back to him, he tells her. Courtney laughs and basically tells him when pigs fly!
Back at GH, everyone is talking to Serena, who's just come out of surgery. It's too early to tell if the surgery was successful, but things look good. Kevin walks into the room, gets ready to leave when he sees Lucy, but stays when Serena begs him to.
Karen is upset that Joe never showed up for Serena's surgery. He must have had an emergency, Scott tells her. Meanwhile, Courtney just wishes that John would go away. Neil takes him to his room to show him his computer and Courtney stresses when they've been gone too long. She panics when she looks out the window and sees that John's car isn't there. "He's taken Neil!!!!!" she screams.........
