It's the morning after in Port Charles as it hits home that once again, the General Homicide Killer has struck. Victor is taking off his samurai costume and is kicking himself all over the lighthouse for bringing a sword to the party when Garcia comes by and it isn't a social call. He tells Kevin and Victor that the sword was dusted for prints and Joe and Courtney both have prints on it.
Courtney is the only one who's not feeling any after-effects of the Halloween party from hell. She decides to cheer up Neil by cooking waffles, his favorite breakfast, when Julie comes into the kitchen. Stunned to see Courtney acting like Suzie Homemaker, she asks her if she doesn't feel the slightest twinge of remorse. Courtney tells her to feel any grief for John Canelos would be hypocritical, and she's not going to start now. She's sorry he's dead, but that's as far as it goes. The doorbell rings and suprise! It's Garcia.
Garcia gets down to business and starts questioning everybody at the Scanlon home, with Courtney, the most likely suspect, going first. Joe and Karen diplomatically get Neil out of there. Garcia tells her about the plane tickets (one way) to Greece and the fake passports found in John's hotel room and Courtney blows it off. Gotta give that girl credit, she's a better actress than I thought!!! Courtney also tells Garcia that she doesn't remember picking up the sword (they rerun the footage of Courtney picking up the sword after she turns John over).
Meanwhile, back at the Lighthouse, Kevin is tossing out theories on the killer to Victor. He decides the killing fits the profile of the killer, but speculates that the killer is starting to lose control and could kill at random. He decides that the only thing to do is to go back on the radio and try to get him or her to call in.
Kevin is shortly back on the PC airwaves, goading the killer to call him. We see all the denizens of good old Port Chuckles crowded around the radio. Frank, Julie and Lark are listening at the Nurses station when Frank's pager goes off. He excuses himself and tells Lark and Julie he has to take it. Julie starts freaking out on a grand scale and poor Lark suggests talking to Kevin about it. Julie's aghast: see a shrink???? The more she thinks about it, the more it sounds Ok. She decides to give Kevin a call.
The big scene in the show for me was when Joe received a phone call from the GH lab telling him that it's 99 percent positive that he's Neal's father. He tells Karen that the one thing he wants to do is take him into his arms and tell him that he loves him, but can't, because Neil's still grieving for John, the only father he's ever known. He doesn't want to add to his misery.
