Another great day in PCland - and a truly explosive finale and to top it all of - Kevin smiles at Lucy (you have your priorities - I have mine)
Here's what you missed :
Lucy is paying a visit to Dr. Newman, her OB-Gyn. Dr. Newman wonders if Lucy and Dr. Collins are still trying to make a baby (I wish) but Lucy skirts the issue by telling her's been sick to her stomach and affected by smells. When the good Dr. asks her the last time she ovulated, Lucy flashbacks to mansion madness with Scott. Dr. Newman orders blood tests.
Kevin has decided to pay a visit to Julie at the hospital, Victor wonders if cosmic forces are involved in Julie seemingly knowing about the Jasmine Island incident, but Kevin is in search of more earthly answers. Victor decides to accompany his son to the hospital.
Julie is working, visibly anxious she checks her watch. Flash to the bomb which is showing the exact same (countdowny) time. (Things that make you go ummmm). The same guy who was once a guard at the hospital (during the first unforgettable elevator centered episode of PC) has apparently been a bad boy and has been demoted to elevator fixit man (okay it's probably a different character but I like my theory better - I can see La Luce going to predruggy Alan and getting him demoted). Scott wonders if the elevators are okay and elevator man says they are now. To Scott's amused annoyance Serena pushes every button to the way to their destination.
Scott and Serena run into Lucy who is more nervous than the proverbial cat on a hot tin roof - and just about as skittish. Scott wonders why she's not at work (oh yeah, like any of her employees would recognize her if she showed up at Jack's Cosmetics) and Lucy makes up a story about running hospital based errands (I've been wanting a bedpan to spruce up my bedroom decor). Scotty then makes a comment about Lucy always being late (as apparently she is) and then wonders where her big bodyguard went to. He orders Lucy to find the guy and takes off with Serena to see the doctor.
Chris and Eve are discussing the unpleasant shock of finding Lucy shacking up, oops I meant housesharing, with Scott. Chris is his usual charming self and Eve shows compassion even for Lucy (is that the end of the world I see?). They ride the elevator up to the six floor. There they bump into Joe and Karen and discuss Courtney and Neil.
Mary has a run-in of her own with Victor and Kevin. VIctor is oh-so-sorry about unwittingly giving the murderer a weapon but Mary insists he take none of the blame. Kevin meanwhile impatiently waits for Julie. The bomb keeps on counting down. (Can't you just feel the tension mounting?)
Dr. London has good news for Serena and Scott - it looks like her eyes are on the way to full recovery. He rewards both children - ah - father and child with a sucker. Flash again to bomb (just in case we've forgotten it was there).
Pay attention - this is the good part - Lucy tells Dr. Newman in the hallway she'll wait for the tests and who comes by. Guess. REally. It's Kevin!!! Lucy immediately becomes even more skittish (hardly thought that was possible) and Kevin is quizzical (see I know some big words). After Dr. Newman leaves, Kevin wonders what Lucy is needing bloodwork for. Oh - a phsyical she unconvincingly lies. Kevin smiles at Lucy - a sweet, nice, Kevyish smile, and reminds Lucy the last time they saw that dr. was when they were trying to get pregnant - which reminds him of the miscarrriage. Lucy is reminded too - she sometimes feels it was yesterday and sometimes it was long ago. Lucy begins to feel very uncomfortable and makes an excuse and leaves. Kevin looks after her but Julie pops up.
Kevin questions Julie about her knowledge of Jasmine Island, relatives that may have lived there, anyone she knows named Marsha but Julie is reminded of nothing and besides is in a hurry. She is running late for a lecture. They agree to meet later. Lucy and Eve arrive at the elevator at the same time, and despite some misgivings (and they should have listened to them) agree to share a ride (end of the world is nearing closer). Just then Ellen pops in, followed by Joe, Karen and Mary and finally a still strung out Julie. Finally the elevator moves.
And then stops. Light flashes. Being the only man in the group, Joe does the manly thing and calls and finds out the elevator has been fritzy all day. Julie is immediately unhinging, snappish, complaining of being hot. Lucy and Eve are a bit snappish themselves to each other (the end is not here yet). Scott tries for the elevator, but Willie informs him he's better off going for the West Wing. Victor wonders why Kevin is no longer so interested in Julie. Because Lucy went to a doctor says Kevin. Oh says Victor, sick? No an Ob-gyn says Kevin. Ohhhhh they say together. Kevin tells Victor is Lucy's pregnant it's not his (darn it anyway) and that he feels like time is running out for him to solve the murders (brilliant analysis as always).
The elevator sang are whistling and humming to "Row row row your boat" except Julie who is jumping out of her skin. Her watch alarm goes off - to remind her to take nerve pills she says. Ellen questions her about them causing Julie to jump down her throat. The bomb goes off and all are flung hither and yon. Their fate will have to wait until tomorrow! That's it gang, hope you enjoyed it - Tammy
