The Blue Flu Wars Continue -
As we meet the nottoohappy residents of PC, Mary is discussing the Courtney/Joe situation with Karen and commenting how Courtney never met a lie she didn't like - and repeat. Karen doesn't have much use for ole Courtney she admits, but is concerned about the safety of Neil. Ellen calls Mary to tell her that Frankie baby is seriously ill. When karen finds out Lucy and Scott have also been bitten by the flu bug, she proves she's her father's daughter, and a rebel born and bred, and rushes over to the hospital despite Ellen telling her she won't be able to get in.
Joe, ever the gentlemen, retrieves the nice little old ladies bag for her as the plane has landed. The little old lady compliments Courtney about her choice of boyfriends (and despite any feelings you may have about Courtney and her moralless state - she does have mighty good taste - Joe, John, Frankie baby, Chris - I'll take her leftovers any day). One of the martian men in blue refuses to let Matt into the ER. Matt looks all worried. Eve finally realizes that Chris is in the floor and that might be a bad thing (btw he stays all laid out in the floor the whole episode - just lying there all helpless - all alone - oops my mind was wandering - sorry - but what a mental image!) so she checks on him. Kevin, meantime, brilliantly deduces the tape with Chris's cliff notes is ruined (is there no end to that man's talents?)
Kevin makes an attempt to revive Chris (I'm pretty sure Chris would have preferred mouthtomouth with Eve). Ellen calls Eve to inform her Chris must stay where he is - noone is allowed in or out of the ER. Eve tells Ellen that Chris may hold the key to the mystery - unfortunately his is pretty much out of it. Kevin asks Ellen about Lucy, all appropriately worriedlike - esp when Ellen informs him that Lucy is very ill, but she is doing all she can for her.
Meantime, the PC phones continue to work overtime as Scott talks to Gail about the flu bluing him and Lucy. Serena offers Lucy dirty Kitty. Sweet Serena, the other apple off of Scott's tree, tells Scott that she doesn't mind postponing her birthday party as it would be a nonparty without him and Lucy. Lucy bravely tries to talk to Serena, but is barely able to do so before recommencing coughing. Lucy wants Scott to go to bed (what, without a bedtime story?) as he is looking rather ill (don't worry - he still looks pretty darn good.). Scott is enjoying spending "quality time" with Lucy. Lucy admits she is glad he is there.
Another one of the Blue's Clues' Men - actually a Dr. McMillan, questions Frank who plays Mr. Innocence and Ignorance combined, and lies like a rug (or rather like someone taking lessons from Courtney) when asked if he is on any medication. Ellen informs Dr. McMillan about the lab and the Chris connection. Karen and Matt, plotters extraordinaire, discuss breaking into the ER. Karen fakes being greatly ill and they are able to bluff their way in. Courtney and Joe are trying to get thru customs. Joe still has the old lady's bag (okay he's a forgetful gentleman) and it turns out that the sweet little old lady has a great fondness for expensive diamond watches lots of them. For some strange reason, the custom's man doesn't believe the little old lady story. Maybe if they said the bag was planted by mr. Big :)
Courtney and Joe claim to be on their honeymoon. Interpol is looking into a smuggling gang and thinks the two snugglers are part of that. Ellen is getting sicker. Matt orders Ellen to bed - but Ellen is determined to soldier on. (Btw I read Matt's thoughts as he looked at Ellen. He was thinking - something is different and if I don't comment on it sooner or later I will be in big trouble. It's her hair. She's had it cut. Or styled. Or unstyled. Or it's her clothes. No, can't be the clothes - same old work clothes. Gee if I don't figure this out I will be in the doghouse. Which is no fun if Ellen's not there with me.) Ellen sends Matt to check on Chris. Matt was beyond thrilled with his duty assignment. He is unsurprised to find all roads lead to Chris.
Karen wants Scott to rest, but Scott is all Lucy concerned. Lucy thinks Karen looks like she is on a lunar mission. Lucy's breathing is worse, Karen announces in her best ER fashion that it is time to incubate. She warns Lucy she won't be able to talk - Lucy replies to just shoot her then. McMillan can't help Doc KEvin at all. Kevin decides to check out the lab computer (my brainy guy is at it again) and Eve and Kevin agree Chris is just the type of guy who would hide his files. A file hider! Will his crimes never end??? Matt wants Chris to live, at least until he can answer some questions.
Courtney worries about Greek dungeons. Good news, says Mr. Customs Man, instead of being dungeoned they are being deported. Ellen admires Lucy's choice of fashion accessory - the stylish IV. Scott, in a not so gentlemanly way, tells Ellen she looks nongood. In fact, he muses as only Scott can, the three of them resemble the Night of the LIving Dead. Ellen finds the joke so unfunny she collapses. Talk about your tough audiences. Karen tries to uncover the truth from Frank. Lark enters the room and sings like a canary about DL-56 and the Chris's secret life as a drug dealer. Eve worries about Chris's fever. The big ADC boss (ohhhhh) comes in and imperiously shuts down the lab.
