Port Charles Update for Friday, 25-Dec-1998

Since there was no show on this day, I decided to make one up. Sorry for the delay.


It's Christmas Day and both Matt and Ellen had to work. Ellen wanted to do something special for Matt to mark their first Christmas together. Ellen gets off work before Matt does, so she writes him a note for him to meet her at the Port Charles Hotel when he gets off work.

A few hours later, Matt went to the Nurse's Station to sign out and to pick up his messages. No messages except for the note from Ellen. The note reads: Matt, meet me at the Port Charles Hotel when you get off work. I have a surprise for you. Love Ellen. Matt finds a key in the envelope and is smiling. Ellen, what are you up to? Matt is thinking to himself.

A short time later, Matt arrives at the hotel room armed with roses and is greeted with the smell of candles burning all around the room. It's a combination of cinnamon and vanilla. Matt calls out to Ellen but gets no answer. Matt looks around the room and there are candles everywhere and he notices a bottle of champagne chilling in a bucket and a bowl of strawberries next to it. He thinks back to the last time they shared champagne and strawberries and that brings a smile to his face. Matt, Ellen calls out to him bringing him back to reality.

Matt: Hi Ellen. Merry Christmas baby.
Ellen: Merry Christmas darling.
They hugged.

Matt: So you said that you had a surprise for me. Where is it?
Ellen: You're looking at it.

Ellen is wearing a red silk bathrobe with a ribbon wrapped around herself.

Matt: Well, I'm going to have fun unwrapping you. These are for you. Matt hands her the roses.
Ellen: Thank you sweetie. Ellen leans forward to give Matt a kiss. She notices the card attached. It's reads:

My Heart Is Full
If someone had told me that I would be this happy, I wouldn't have believe it. When I think of Christmas time and loved ones being together. I think of how my heart is overflowing with the love that you have given to me. I'm someone who never thought that a love like this would ever come my way, until now. The gift of your love and the joy you have given to me and the peace within makes my heart sing whenever I'm with you. You make this season a special one; with the gift of your love I have all that I ever drempt possible. My love I have you!!

Ellen: Matt, the poem is beautiful.
Matt: It's from the heart. I love you Ellen.
Ellen: I love you too.

Matt moves in to unwrap Ellen. He takes off the robe. Ellen is wearing the nightie that Lucy gave her when she was in the hospital after their cabin adventure.

Matt: very nice but you won't be wearing that for much longer.
They move to the bed. All the while kissing and undressing each other.
