Port Charles Update for Wednesday, 30-Dec-1998

Today's show opened at the Brady House. Oops, make that the former home of Rex Stanton. Greg is angry because Kevin hasn't written the revised version of General Homicide. When Greg leaves the room, Kevin & Eve say they've got to stall til they hear from the people they've e-mailed. Serena is staying at Karen's. She wants to check her e-mail to see if her penpal has written. Too bad, Karen doesn't have a computer. Meanwhile, in Greece, Vic & Mary arrive at the cafe where Courtney & Joe were staying til they boarded the Titanic. Well, you know what I mean. Darn, Vic left his computer in the cab! Frank, Lucy, & Scott arrive at Chris' place. They want to know if there are any clues as to where Kevin & Eve might be. Chris isn't home. So, Frank kicks in the door.
Vic says the cab is gone. The man who runs the cafe tells Vic & Mary that Courtney & Joe were staying there, but they left. He doesn't know where they went, but if he'd known they were smugglers, he'd never have let them stay at his place. He'll get Vic's computer back for him. Vic's going to call his former business associate, Gunther, to help them find Joe & Courtney. Vic tells Mary that Gunther knows him as "Vladimir." She mustn't call him Victor while they're in Greece. Mary wants to know what kind of business they had. Import/export, says Vic.
Chris comes home & wants to know what the hell everyone's doing in his apartment. They explain to him about Greg & "Marcia" kidnapping Kevin & Eve. Chris is surprised. He just assumed Eve had spent the night at the lighthouse. Lucy doesn't like that one little bit. (the scenes between Lucy, Frank, Scott & Chris on today's episode are priceless! LMAO!) Kevin tries to contact the PCPD website. Greg catches him before he can log on. Greg is NOT happy.
Karen borrows Alice's computer. She & Serena decide to eat before checking Serena's e-mail. Gunther & "Vlad" reminisce about old times. Just what were they importing/exporting is Mary's question. "Toothpaste", the 2 reply. Vic's computer is returned. The fearsome 4some at the penthouse wonder why Kevin's computer was missing from the lighthouse. They decide to check Julie's hospital computer file. Greg doesn't like Kevin's new version of General Homicide. He tells "Marcia" to put 2 bullets each in Kevin & Eve's heads.
Serena is about to check her e-mail when it dawns on Karen that they can't go on-line without a modem (DUH). Serena is disappointed. Vic is trying to log on in the US when Mary knocks his computer into the floor, breaking it. There's nothing in Julie's file. They can't access Kevin's file because Lucy doesn't know the password. Scott & Chris both remember Eve's password is "hot tamale". Unfortunately, Chris gets bumped off-line before he gets anywhere. Meanwhile, Greg & "Marcia" decide that Eve belongs in a straight jacket. Luckily, they have one on hand.
