Port Charles Update for Thursday, 31-Dec-1998

The last day of 1998 starts with Eve fighting to stay out of the straight jacket that Cooper wants to put her in. She loses the battle, and Kevin goes to Plan B: goading Cooper's enormous ego. He doesn't bend, but it's clear that Doc is really getting to him!! He tries to bury Eve in a mortar wall and Kevin tells him he's so lame that he can't even come up with his own murder ideas!!
Finally we have mail!! (Where is Tom Hanks when you need him??) Victor fixes his laptop after Mary trips over it; logs on, and gets Kevin's Email. He grabs his cell phone and places an immediate phone call to the Port Charles PD. (Can't wait to see what the charges are from Greece to New York on a cell phone!!) Chris logs on after that, gets the same Email and heads for the Stanton house with Scotty, Lucy and Frank. Victor gets through and gets the runaround. He decides to hack into the PCPD web site to track the action. While he's doing this, the phone rings. It's his friend Gunter with a lead on Joe and Courtney. He waits to give Mary the bad news in person.
In the meantime, we've got a full-blown hostage situation!! Chris and the gang are on stakeout at the house when they almost trip over Garcia and his men. (Now why isn't Garcia at the bachelor auction?? He could get on my CB radio anytime....) Garcia takes a chance and decides to let everyone stay, even though Frank is turning into his annoying self (you know; this is your brain; this is your brain on DL-56, right??)
Things are going from bad to worse at the Stanton house. Eve runs with the goad Cooper theme and tells Cooper that he can't build a wall any better than he can get an internship. Kevin on the other hand, is unconscious after going for Cooper and getting shocked. (Remember he has that bracelet on). Greg hears Garcia on the bullhorn outside and decides he's getting sick of Eve. He decides he wants to do a prisoner exchange: Lucy for Eve.........Happy New Year!!!!!!!!
