Port Charles Update for Friday, 1-Jan-1999

Since there was no show on this date, I decided to make one
up.

New Year's is a very special day for Matt and Ellen fans.
On this day one year ago, Matt and Ellen kissed for the
very first time. Here's what happened: they were at
Scott's New Year's Eve party, it's one minute to midnight
and Ellen was talking to Matt about the next rotation of
his internship. (Can you believe this woman was talking
shop at a party)? Anyway, as she was talking, Matt was
taking off his party hat, leaned in, said excuse me twice
and just planted that kiss on her. Matt said Happy New
Year with a smile on his face. Ellen looked at him all
flustered (like she didn't know what hit her) said you too.
She got up and left the room.

This is what I wished happened:
After Matt planted that kiss on Ellen, it stirred something
inside of her and for a moment she forgot where she was.
She gets off the couch and sits on Matt's lap and really
gave him a New Year's kiss that he would never forget.
Matt: Wow, Dr. Burgess you really know how to say Happy New
Year. Thank you.
Ellen: You're welcome. I've wanted to do that for a long
time.
Matt: What stopped you?
Ellen: Maybe the fact that I'm your boss and hospital
policy prevents us from being involved in that way.
Matt: Ellen, I don't care about hospital policy. I'm in
love with you and have been since the first time I saw you.
Ellen: Matt, I love you too.
Matt and Ellen kiss again what seems like an eternity. Then they left the party without anyone noticing.
