Port Charles Update for Friday, 8-Jan-1999

**A disclaimer – I like Eve NOT W/Kevin – so I will try to be nice –Not easy
This is the worst day to have to do a recap – it broke my heart
K&L fans be prepared

The show opens with Serena wanting to celebrate Christmas w/Scott & Lucy –
She is disappointed that Santa never showed – Scott tells her Santa showed up late
(I do love Scott)
He gives her presents from Santa –she is so excited

Lucy is telling Ellen how great Scott was to rescue her – how he saved her life
Ellen tells her she is blushing – Lucy tells her she is stopping by Kevin’s on her way “home”
Ellen says “Home”
Lucy says I mean the firehouse-
Ellen is teasing her about Scott & Lucy tells her – knock it off

Chris tries to talk to Eve – about taking her out to celebrate – Eve tells Chris how much she cares for Kevin
Eve tells Chris that being behind that wall – her worst thought was never seeing Kevin
Chris says “Kevin –I thought it was Scott- she says yeah I know but this is different
I am going to tell him today & hope I do not have egg on my face

Chris tells her (yet again) that if Kevin breaks her heart – egg on her face –they can make omelets together

Scott calls the hospital looking for Lucy – gets Ellen
He tells Ellen “where is Lucy”
Ellen tells him she left already –he says great she should be home in a few minutes.
She tells him she was stopping somewhere
He figures out it is going to see Kevin – he thanks Ellen & says bye
Then Scott remembers Lucy telling him (thinking he was Kevin) how much she wanted Kevin –
wanted their baby- how sleeping w/Scott was a mistake
Then Serena tells Scott she does not want to do anything till Lucy comes home
Scott tells Serena that Lucy is probably moving out – Serena tries to tell Scott Lucy loves being there

Kevin –gets a call from Victor telling him that Victor is in Greece & everything is OK

Kevin answers the door there stands Lucy
Kevin has the most wonderful smile
She explains she did not know what to get for a gun shot wound so she got him some
flowers to brighten up the place –
He tells her it could use some brightening – he smiles this beautiful Kevy smile
Tells her it is just a flesh wound nothing like what happen to Mac.
He tells her he went to see Mac & they talk about how bad Mac was
She tells him – Mac & Filly have been worried about him - & so has she
Then she says, “I know I blame myself more than anyone for everything that happened w/this whole Cooper mess. & it anything would have happened to you- I never would have forgiven myself
(The love between these two – is so amazing – her look of remorse – his look of confusion)
Kevin asks, “Why would you blame yourself?”
Lucy says –“That darn book- “General Homicide” –you started writing that thing just to give yourself
Something to do when I was living with Rex Stanton & the book started this whole Copper mess.
Kevin tells Luc “Cooper had a vendetta against the Collin family long before I wrote that book, he would have come after Victor & me eventually- I’m just sorry you got caught in the cross fire
(He look he gives her- they are talking – he needs her so bad –
She wants him to know how much she loves him – they truly miss each other – so much
You would never know I was a K&L Scmuck would you)
Lucy looks at him & says “Well you know me –I always try & find the silver lining – look on the bright side or whatever they say & I guess when your life is in extreme jeopardy –it certainly puts things in perspective –
Kevin gives her this “I wish you look” –he says yeah –it sure does
(Now at this point Lucy is about one step from tell Kevin she loves him – Kevin is a step from trying to reach her-
This could be the moment they come back to each other ---EXCEPT (per usually if there is a Kevin & Luck moment – it is in Eve’s contract to run in & stop it immediately –at least I think so)
At this point the doorbell rings & it is a fantastic gourmet meal –
Kevin tells Lucy the flowers were enough- she tells him she did not send it –
They figure Victor did – the waiter hands Kevin & Lucy a glass of champagne
(They are smiling – looking so great together)
They are discussing great Victor is when the one who sent it (Eve) shows up
& says with this big smile “Hey, I hope your hungry”-her smile fades as she see Lucy

Kevin is shocked to see Eve –but tries to recover
& tells Eve he was wondering where the meal came from
Eve is very uncomfortable (who wouldn’t be)
She tells him to enjoy the food – that she wanted to make sure he was Ok – good to see he was
Kevin realizes she meant this a dinner for two – she says she was thinking Victor was home -
Kevin tries to get her to come in & have a bite (What was he thinking) Eve tells him she has made other plan & Exits
& Kevin tries to call her back –he looks torn- he is clearly embarrassed & tries to play it off
He says, “Well another fine night at Kevin’s house -he tells Lucy he has to go get her -
Lucy is so strong (the look Lucy gave was priceless -in that look- you knew she believes that Kevin is over her & really loves Eve now, it was a mix of sadness, brokenhearted –but she resigned to the fact that it is over) – she tells him to go after Eve (my girl has class)

Kevin comes back & tells her – she asks where is Eve- what did she say?
Kevin tell her “he couldn’t catch her
Lucy tells him “I’m sorry -this is very awkward – she was probably embarrassed
Kevin tells Lucy “I will just call her later & explain that there was no reason to be that she obviously misinterpreted (explain what? Misinterpreted what Kevin – without meaning to he confirmed what
Lucy believed that Kevin no longer wanted her - & that he was involved w/Eve)
Lucy- (pulling out SOME pride) tells him obviously (the way she said that line –
The way she said that line –she was saying obviously he has no feeling for me anymore)
She says, “you know what I am going to go – get out of your hair I came by to see you were all right & I can see that you were doing just fine (she is trying to get away before she brakes down -)
Kevin stops her tells her “ I hated the way you put yourself in danger with Copper but I’ll never
forget how fearless you are.”
Lucy says, “Thanks I am just glad it’s finally over & of all the people I known in the world you deserve the peace I hope you find” (her eyes are soo soft –she is trying to let go-it is killing her)
Kevin tells her you know when this whole thing started I actually believed I was starting to lose it again
I was having blackouts & I was seeing visions of Ryan – I thought that I could be the killer
Lucy stops him – “No, no Do you know what?” “Do you know that I never once, not for even one teeny tiny little moment – ever believed that was possibly” (this is the Lucy at her best- so in love with him- so sure of him)
Kevin says (so sadly as he thinks she is with Scott) “Our lives sure were a lot different than
(both of these people are so lost without each other – they need each other so bad)
Lucy looks down & says ” things sure have changed”
Kevin looks at her “Maybe too much”
Kevin walks to her – puts his arms around her – (he holds her so tight – he loves her so much –
Yes- I am crying !! d@mn the TIIC who ruined this story)
Kevin is holding her when he tells her – they are both crying – “Lucy you are an incredible woman “
She is trying to not cry she pulls away & tell him – (with that kinda smile –when your heart is braking)
“Don’t you ever forget it.” & she leaves –outside the door – she brakes down & inside the lighthouse Kevin is crying

Next thing we see she goes to the firehouse & Serena is so excited – she is waiting for her – for a surprise

Scott asks does she have somewhere else to go-
Serena tells Lucy the Scott had said she might not want to be with them anymore
So says no –
She tells Serena – that no matter where she lives
-Serena & Scott will be her family

Ellen – tells Chris to feel free to close his cases till the board hearing – he is doing that
Ellen – tells Chris be ready for his defense it won’t be easy

OF Course – Eve Comes running back to Chris tell him she is going to take him up on his offer
That she went there & Lucy was there
Chris is walking her out – telling her he will take care of her (UUUUUGGGHHH)
Of course – Kevin comes running in & stops her
(I missed their whole conversation –could some recap that)

Serena runs upstairs to try on her new PJ’s from Satan
Lucy tells Scott how wonderful this Christmas is w/Serena
She thanks him for letting her be a part of his family
He tells her he doesn’t let -her be part of his family –
That She IS HIS family
No matter what – which he then says is hogwash – because he WANTS her to stay –
But she can not see past Kevin
--Scott tells her – that she told him about everything that she babbled on –about Kevin
That she knows what she babbled about – but that if that was what he wanted to hold on to that was fine
But that –behind that wall the worst thing -dying was not as bad as the thought that she would never see Scott & Serena

~~ You can’t say I did not warn you it was rough to watch
~~& It’s over
