Port Charles Update for Friday, 15-Jan-1999

Lucy tells Scott that with everything going on, she has neglected her business, & things aren't looking so good. At the penthouse, Eve is going on & on ad nauseum about Lucy. Chris is clearly working on something, & Eve is ticked off because he's ignoring her. He tells her to excuse him for thinking that saving his medical career from the toilet was more important than whatever problems she might have. She tells him that she bought a heating pad for Kevin but she's not going to give it to him because he probably already has one with Lucy's initials on it. Oh yeah, a heating pad crisis is much more important than someone's occupation.
Anyway, at the llghthouse, Kevin is packing up Lucy's things. He flashes back to the little scene of Eve complaining because of Lucy's things being everywhere. The deliveryman comes to take Lucy's things. IMO, it's a very small box considering that she spent YEARS living with Kevin.
Ellen comes by to check on Kevin. She's heard how he hurt his back. Kevin told her that he threw Lucy's things in the trash, then fished them out & sent them to her.
Eve, still whining, tells Chris that when she was with Scott, she had to face the ghost of Dominique, now with Kevin, she has to face the ghost of Lucy, & Lucy's not even dead. Chris tells her that anyone she's with is going to have a past.
Lucy gets the box Kevin sent. She takes it surprisingly well. She's focusing on rebuilding her business. Ellen tells Kevin he needs to move on. She reminds him of how he helped her move on from Sam, & love Matt. He tells her that it's different, because Sam's dead. She tells him that people you have loved are always with you. But you can make room to let other people into your heart.
Chris tells Eve she's "500 times the woman Lucy Coe will ever be." She says that's what Scott told her on his way out the door. Chris says that's Scott's problem, not hers. Does she want to be "a bitter old maid with curlers in her hair, & a big flabby butt?" Kevin & she have feelings for each other, so she should give it a chance.
Lucy's still trying to come up with a business idea. How about glow-in-the-dark perfumed tattoos, says Scott. He keeps babbling about the "Florida dress." Lucy eyes the dress pattern that was under the old map they brought from Florida. She decides to begin a line of contemporary romantic clothing.
Ellen gives Matt towels with her initials, & a photo, & she sprays her cologne around the place. She tells him about her talk with Kevin, & that she wants to have something of hers at his place. He tells her that she has her shampoo, nightgown, & CDs there already. There's no way he could ever break up with her because there'd be too much work throwing all her stuff away. He says "Don't you know I can't live without you?"
Eve calls Kevin & leaves not one, not two, but SIX messages. She just rambles on & on without making any sense whatsoever. Finally the sixth time she calls, telling him not to listen to her messages, he picks up the phone. He had been in the shower, but he listened to her messages. He tells her to come on over,
