Port Charles Update for Wednesday, 20-Jan-1999

Well, it's the moment you've all been waiting for -- the daily update from yours truly!

Today's show starts off with a "wonderful" Kevin and Eve moment -- wonderful because Kevin looks *incredibly* gorgeous. Other than that -- well, no comment! (BTW -- does Eve have a coat like that in every color? Last week it was read, this week blue -- must have been a 2 for 1 sale at "Hookers ‘R Us" -- all apologies to Eve fans, but that coat just *screams* "easy.") They discuss their fun night (glad *somebody* had fun), and Eve goes back to work.

At the firehouse, Scott is upset that Lucy is moving out. Serena comes in and they tell her that Lucy won't be living with them.

On Kanelos island, Neil is very upset at what he just heard -- that Joe, not John, is his father. Joe and Courtney explain everything to him, but he says he doesn't believe them. They're just saying that because they're mad at YiaYia and Papou. He runs off. (J&C, you better look out -- you do *not* want "big" to be mad at you!)

Back at the firehouse, Serena is crying. She doesn't understand why Lucy is leaving -- Lucy lived with Kevin, why won't she live with them. (Poor kid! :( -- anyone else want to contribute to the "Serena Baldwin Therapy Fund" -- I have a feeling she'll need is pretty soon!) Lucy explains it to her the best she can.

OK folks, the *highlight* of the show -- we are graced with the incredibly gorgeous presence of one Dr. Chris Ramsey! Sure, he's being used as a prop for Eve, what else is new? But he's THERE -- *sigh!* Where was I? Oh yeah -- Eve tells Chris that if Dr. Q catches him playing doctor he'll be in big trouble -- he says he's just there to get some notes on DL56. He asks her why she didn't come home last night -- she could have at least called. (And he's RIGHT -- of course!) Eve tells him she was out with Kevin -- then has some *exciting* news. Lucy moved out of the firehouse! "Wow! You must have mistaken me for someone who would actually care!" Chris snarkily replies! (LMAO!) She says she's happy cause now Lucy is suffering -- Chris says she's happy cause she still wants Scott back. Eve says no -- she's dating Kevin now. She starts to tell him about the great time they had last night -- Chris doesn't want to hear about it. (Oh come on Eve, don't kick the poor guy when he's down! We all know he's practically a virgin -- why rub it in that you're getting some and he's not!) Chris tell Eve that Kevin is just her "TP" -- transitional person. And TP's are a lot of fun, but they never last. "TU" -- or totally untrue, replies Eve. Chris makes a few more brilliant comments, then does a quick eyebrow move and says "T-A" -- Ta! And leaves! And I'm sorry, but I just need to take a moment and gush about just how incredibly good looking this man is, and how he pulls of comedy in such a *flawless* manner! Pure comedic genius, that's what it is! And as for his *other* assets -- well, he couldn't possibly look any better if he tried -- well, maybe he could -- but that would require him being in a towel or in a pair of boxers or . . . . . well, I guess I should stop here. Sorry to gush on and on -- but some things just need to get out in the open!

Back with Joe and Neil -- Joe finds Neil and explains to him that he is his father, but that doesn't mean John loved him any less. Joe is actually very sweet about the whole thing -- they hug, and head back to the house.

Scott and Lucy at the firehouse -- talking about Serena, and how this is for the best that she moves out.

Back to yet another "Kevin and Eve moment" - - joy of joys! And for a few minutes, Kevin actually shows some signs of the intelligent, rational psychiatrist he once was -- saying that it's perfectly normal for he and Eve to have been jealous of L&S, and happy that Lucy is no longer living there. But alas, as my friend Stefan Cassadine would say, that moment is short-lived, because next thing you know they're getting all hot and bothered again! (Everyone, repeat after me what Chris previously stated -- TP, TP. TP -- let's hope they figure it out soon!)

Scott and Serena at the firehouse -- Serena has a solution to the L&S problem -- Scott should marry Lucy!

Back at the Kanelos compound, Joe and Courtney talk about Neil. Courtney cries. Boo-hoo, yadda yadda yadda -- Joe says it's not her fault what happened, it's because of the Kaneloses. Neil would never have found out this way if they hadn't taken him. Courtney hugs Joe and says she's glad that Neil finally has the father he deserves.
