Today on Port Charles, as told by me, RamseyFan, in this totally and completely biased update . . . .

The show opens with Chris Ramsey, the most handsome man on the planet, facing the board at GH. And apparently, the elves were asleep at the wheel, since Dr. Monica Quartermaine somehow got out of the West Wing of GH and over to the poor side of town. Guess they ran out of cookies. Also present was the invisible Dr. Mark Boardman, who was last seen running away like a girly-man when he was afraid that the GH Killer was gonna get him.

Anyhoo, the board is there to determine whether or not Chris should remain in the residency program at GH. I say yes, simply because his beautiful face puts a smile on mine every day. And we need a good schemer on the show -- Chris fits the bill quite well. And I'm not just saying this because I'm the founder of the Defenders of Chris, and that I'm the biggest Chris fan in cyberspace. OK, well maybe I am. Sue me. Anyway, I'm not on the board, so it doesn't matter what I think anyway. But I just thought I'd share that.

Then we see Joe & Karen talking. Joe tells Karen that Frank wants him to lie when he's called to testify.

Back to the hearing -- Monica can't see a reason why they should keep Chris as a GH employee. Well Monica, perhaps if you did what you *usually* do with handsome young doctors, you'd come up with one! And lord knows it's been awhile for Chris -- I'm sure he'd be a very willing and enthusiastic participant. Then again, we can also discuss how you covered up your hubby's drug habit and teamed up with an unscrupulous detective to turn in evidence against another family member to keep your junkie hubby out of the press. Not to mention giving a second chance to a baby kidnapper, and you'll probably welcome back your husband on staff with open arms . . . . ah, but that's beside the point, isn't it? Just something to ponder . . . . BTW, you may want to add a new word to your vocabulary: hypocrite. Look it up, honey!

Joe is skulking and pouting in the GH lobby -- doesn't *anyone* work in that place anymore? And along comes Frankenstein, who apologizes for yelling at baby brother the other day. He then asks Joe to lie for him, and say he wrote those prescriptions. Joe says he'll do it. (Pssst -- hey Joey -- you *sure* you weren't a blonde in another lifetime?)

At the hearing, Chris, looking quite handsome as always, wants to speak in his own defense. He states how he followed hospital procedure in labeling contaminated material, and if it hadn't been for Frankie stealing the vial, the virus would never have happened. He also states how deeply sorry he is that two people lost their lives, and he is willing to do everything he possibly can to atone for that. (I really believe he's sincere.) He spends more time talking about Frank's addiction, and that he's the real party at fault here. The board wants to talk in private, and ask Chris and his attorney to leave the room. He and the attorney leave, and are quite happy at how things are going. In the boardroom, Dr. Boardman takes Chris' side -- the hospital doesn't need any bad press because of some junkie paramedic's theft of that vial. (I've always liked that Dr. Boardman!) Monica is torn -- she doesn't want the bad press either. And it would be easier to lay the blame on an outside party. But she wants to hear from some other outside sources as to the extent of Frank's addiction.

In the hallway, Joe and Chris have a confrontation. Joe asks why Cooper and Julie didn't off him when they had the chance, LMAO! Chris tells Joe how he had created a corrected formula, and had Frank stayed on that everything would have worked out and the virus outbreak wouldn't have happened. Karen walks by Chris as he walks away and glares at him. (Aw come on Karen -- that was a longing look of passion -- you want him and you know it!) Karen is informed that the board wants to see her.

Chris and Karen enter the boardroom. Chris says "after you" (always the gentleman!), and Karen says "I prefer to watch my back around you -- after you." Yeah right -- Karen is just curious, as many of us are, about that little secret that Nolan North revealed in a survey, and wants to get a better view from behind for herself! And who can blame her?

Monica compliments Karen on her work to come up with a cure for the virus. They ask her about DL56. Chris' attorney brings up how Karen worked against hospital policy in the lab at one time too. They talk more about Frank. Karen is clearly getting upset. When Karen leaves, she tells Joe that they are trying to pin all of this on Frank. Frank comes by, and is angry that Lance is going against him too. He inadvertently mentions that he had a deal with them as well. Joe is *furious.* Joe had agreed to lie for Frank, and now he finds out that Frank was in on this whole pharmaceutical deal for profit as well. "You give me one reason why I should believe anything that comes out of your mouth," Joe says to Frank. And the show is . . . .

OVER!!!!

That's all folks -- until next time!

Valerie
