Port Charles Update for Thursday, 25-Feb-1999

Just another insane day in Port Chuckles! Here's today's update:

Things start out with Frank haggling on the phone with his homeowner's insurance company regarding the damage chez Scanlon got in the storm: while trying to flip burgers at the Recovery Room at the same time. He's telling Courtney all about his problems having a loony girlfriend (Julie)and ever-helpful Courtney reminds him about his wonderful career-enhancing job at the Recovery Room!! (Now you can drive the big rigs--just a little plug for those wonderful commericals you see on daytime TV.)

Everything's coming up roses for Doc and Eve!! They're heading up to the Honeymoon Suite at the PC Hotel when Eve catches a glimpse of the mystery man again. Still spooked, she tells Kevin that being in the hotel room about ready to get it on takes her back to her past as an Escort. Doc uses his shrink skills to make her feel better and they wind up toasting their future with champagne...the best part being that they're on "an accordian free floor", according to Kevin.

Bad news on the insurance front!! Seems that the Scanlon boys' homeowners insurance was cancelled, because Frankie-poo forgot to send in a payment!! He tells Joe that Dl-56 will do that to a guy. Joe's smoking, because he's already got a contractor lined up and now, they're on the hook for 7 grand. Joe offers to buy the materials if Frank will take care of the labor, but Frank can't get down from the high horse he's on and accept. After all, he was the one who forgot this one minor detail!!

Courtney asks Karen if Joe can see Neil in the upcoming future, Karen says sure, just call first. Courtney doesn't like this one extra detail and says that she wants to be able to come over unannounced. Fat chance!! Dr Wexler snaps, before taking her food and heading back to the hospital. Courtney goes over to Frank and says "You want Chris's head on your wall?? I want hers!!"

Speaking of Chris Ramsey, there was a priceless scene where Frank was taking his order (and looked like he was walking on coals doing it). Chris couldn't make up his mind on the type of turkey sandwich he wanted and by the time he was through ordering, it looked like Frank was going to make him inhale it.

Finally, Eve runs into the mystery man at the hotel. It turns out he was a former John of hers. Eve tells him she's retired and he tries to "coax her out of retirement". (grosss...)

Things really end when Courtney comes up with the brilliant idea of hitting up poor Julie/Marcia's trust fund for the bucks she needs to convince Chris that she's loaded. After all, Julie's not going anywhere for awhile, is she???
