Port Charles Update for Friday, 26-Feb-1999

Today's show opens with Pinky and The Brain (aka Frank and Courtney) listening in on Joe and Karen's conversation in order to find out when Joe & Karen will be going out. Frank & Courtney will use that time to plant something to make Karen think Joe's been unfaithful. Joe and Karen are arguing about Frank. Karen takes up for him, and tells Joe how hard it is for Frank to get over his addiction to DL-56. Eventually, they decide to stay home and make love instead of going out. At the PC hotel, Kevin & Eve are naked in bed. Wonder what they've been doing. Kevin goes to shower. Eve will join him when the water's warm. The phone rings. It's DV. He wants to see Eve. She hangs up on him.
Joe makes breakfast for Karen. He nags her about hogging the shower. He has used a metal spatula on her teflon pan! They make a deal. She won't hog the shower, and he won't abuse her cookware. Courtney jumps on Frank's bed to wake him. They listen to Joe & Karen again, still planning to plant something in the apartment. Then they'll listen to Chris. They're going to empty his bank account. Neil comes running into the bedroom. He's sure he heard Joe's voice. Courtney & Frank manage to cover. The handsome Sebastian Dupre visits Ellen with French Market coffee. He also has rolls. Won't she invite him in? Matt comes up behind Ellen, & tells Sebastian to come in. Kevin and Eve are also having breakfast. The phone rings. Eve is nervous, but Kevin tells her it was just Gail, wanting him to consult on a patient. Kevin leaves, and in a few minutes, there's a knock at the door. Thinking it's Kevin, Eve runs to the door and throws it open. It's DV. He comes in and orders champagne from room service.
Sebastian and Matt are sizing each other up. Sebastian went to Princeton. Matt went to Columbia. Sebastian went to Harvard for his doctorate. He has an MBA and a Juris Doctorate. Matt is a surgical resident. And according to Ellen, a darn good one. All Sebastian's managed to do is save businesses. He's kept people from losing their jobs, he adds proudly. Speaking of jobs, Ellen says she and Matt had better get moving. Sebastian says the real reason he came by is that he needs some advice about getting settled. You know, apartments, that kind of stuff. Courtney's back from taking Neil to school. She tells Frank that it's too risky. They need to rent an apartment in which to keep their listening device, so no one overhears them again. Frank says they'll need money for that. Julie has a six-figure income. He calls Lee Baldwin, who's in charge of Julie's financial matters. He pretends to be interested in hiring a specialist who can help Julie. Frank tells Courtney that according to Lee, all of Julie's money is missing.
Matt and Ellen have given Sebastian some names to get him started. His watch beeps. Matt asks if he has an appointment. Sebastian tells Matt it's just a reminder. In the hallway, Sebastian winces in pain as he puts on his coat. He takes a pill. Frank and Courtney listen as Joe and Karen make wedding plans. Joe finds the bug Frank planted. Eve wants DV to go away. He wants a kiss. He leans in, just as Kevin starts to unlock the door to the suite.
