DV runs rampant in Port Charles! (Thank goodness)
Our Friday (and everyone had shirts - what ever happened to shirtless Friday - I miss it very very much) episode begins with our favorite conniving couple doing what they do the least best - trying to think. Frank already had a thought this week - that was his limit pretty much. And Courtney - well as she herself pointed out earlier her "strength" lies elsewhere (emphasis on the word lies here) but together they struggle to come up with a way to relieve Marsha Cooper of her money. Courtney is afraid the bank will recognize she isn't Marsha. Frank believes he has the will and the way. (Why do I have this sudden image of them robbing the bank with water guns and mispelled written demands? The UnBonnie and UnClyde.)
Serena is all excited about her recital and her solo. So is Lucy and Scott - until DV shows up. It seems he was bored (and like Scooby Doo tracked them down) and besides he has news for Lucy - it seems a manufacturer of his has had some down time and can make a few Serena dresses - say about 25,000 (oh joy - lots and lots of them running around loose - just what we need). Scott is both skeptical and a little upset with Lucy. Scott informs DV they'll give him an answer later.
Kevin enters! Kevy all dressed up and looking mighty fine and there is a blue dot right beside him. Kevy and the blue dot (Okay just this once - and mainly for Josh's benefit - I'll remove the blue dot) who it turns out to my GREAT surprise is Eve tell Serena how excited they are about her recital. That is until Serena leaves and they spot DV. Kevy turns extremely manly (and doesn't it look good on him) and is ready to trot right over and beat DV up but Eve stops him. Kevin decides to rumble in the parking lot later (key up West Side Story theme).
Karen and Joe plan to attend the next performance with Neil. Karen is very happy - about the upcoming wedding, about Scott giving her away, about her extended family (apparently Karen has forgotten about the you-can-only-be-happy-for-ten-minutes rule in soaps or this much happiness would seriously frighten her.) She is ready to plan the wedding but Joe is more interested in plotting his bachelor party. He is sure Karen won't be told about the party's events but Karen - very astutely I must point out - replies men cannot keep their mouth's shut. So true.
Joe says it's time to get a new wedding coordinator. But who shall fire Courtney they wonder (Oh let me!) Joe decides that it is his job and he must do it. Frank realizes that it is the computer age (oh duh) and that all they need is a fake ID a new bank account and a request to transfer funds (this almost constitutes a new thought - I hope he isn't breaking anything up there). Frank takes Courtney's picture.
Lucy and Scott discuss how wonderful Serena performed. Scott proudly announces Serena inherited the Baldwin rhythm. And she could keep time anyway Lucy retorts. DV thinks Serena was wonderful also. Scott and Lucy will let DV know their decision very soon. Scott is a little peeved that Lucy wasn't 100 percent honest with him. He wonders if DV is a Trojan Horse. DV tells Eve that indeed he remembers she was a patron of the arts. Keep walking orders Kevin in his most stern voice. Ohhhhhhh says DV back - very unfrightened (I wonder if he needs a visit from poolboy Ryan to shake him up.) And DV leaves. Darn.
Kevin, Eve, Lucy and Scott have yet another awkward encounter (number 3023 and counting). Kevin thanks them for the invitation. They discuss pictures Lucy took of Serena - lots and lots of them. Eve tells them not to trust DV. Scott seems instantly concerned, Lucy does not. Joe visits and fires Courtney. Courtney puts on a brave front and recites a great deal of nonsense about how beautiful the wedding will be without her. I was sobbing.
Kevin and Eve begin to snuggle (and I was getting very afraid) when they are interrupted by Scott visiting them at the Lighthouse. I love and adore Scott! Eve explains to Scott DV was a customer and all around not nice guy. Scott wonders if DV would stoop to sabotage. Absolutely says Eve. Scott is all ready to take on DV - he has met many ruthless people in his lifetime. Go Scott go.
Joe tells cooking Karen he fired Courtney. She found Courtney another gig. Courtney rails to Frank about being fired, how much Joe really deep down likes her (Frank points out it must be deeply buried) and how this is all Karen's fault. But she brightens considerably when Frank produces a fake ID and they realize they are on their way to Julie's money (now how will she buy diapers for Princess?)
Eve is worried about Scott. Kevin is more concerned about Serena being hurt again (please - anything but another Serena-in-peril storyline!). Lucy sends Serena out of the room after Scott returns to the Firehouse. She is Lucy-mad - DV has stolen her ideas for a romantic dress line (now that means DV must be very very desperate LOL)
THE END
Meanwhile in Denial City Mexico Kevin is putting together a crib as Lucy whispers to Patrick. "Don't worry we'll put it together after it falls apart on Daddy." "Ye of little faith" Kevin replies, as he triumphantly pats the finished side of the crib. As if on cue, it clatters to the floor.
