Port Charles Update for Thursday, 11-Mar-1999

Today on Port Chuckles . . . . .

Well, the show opens with Pinky and the Brain, aka Courtney and Frank, peering out their newly-purchased telescope from the apartment across from Joe and Karen's, spying on them. Frank tells Courtney to get going, she doesn't want to be late for her date with Chris. We then get to see Chris, aka THE most gorgeous hunk of a man in the entire town of PC, looking MIGHTY fine and primping in front of the mirror for his hot date with Courtney. And let me emphasize, once again, how INCREDIBLY gorgeous he looks! Can't say that enough, you know!

We now switch over to a restaurant scene -- Ellen is having dinner with a very handsome guy. He looks vaguely familiar -- gosh, WHERE have I seen him before? I think his name starts with an M -- is it Mark --no, Mike? No, Mason -- OH, I remember, it's MATT! Yeah, that's right! Almost forgot there for a second -- kinda hard to remember people when they're only on once or twice a month, you know! But, it's all coming back to me . . . . anyway, Matt tells Ellen that she looks ravishing. And then Sebastian enters the restaurant (how CONVENIENT) . . . .

At what appears to be the same restaurant (cause God forbid we should have more than one restaurant set per episode -- nope, EVERYONE dines in the SAME PLACE tonight!), Chris and Courtney are talking. Chris asks the waiter to bring over some champagne, then embarks on his very own fishing expedition! Courtney, as usual, is clueless that he knows that she's pretending to be wealthy -- she thinks that he thinks that she's an heiress, when really she's just pretending to be one. But he knows she's not, but is pretending she is anyway. Got all that? Good. Anyhoo, Chris grills Courtney about the Kanelos family -- how much her money was originally in Greek currency, etc. This is SO amusing to watch -- Courtney just has NO CLUE -- she's TOTALLY faking her way through this, and Chris sees right through her pathetic little act. I for one am LOVING every minute of it!

Back at Matt and Ellen's table, Matt says that watching Ellen when Sebastian is there is like watching a tennis match, cause her eyes keep going from one place to another, and that maybe they should invite him over, LOL! Matt then goes into this whole spiel about how he used to have all these women throwing themselves at him (which ISN'T too far-fetched, really -- I mean, look at the man!), and how he used to date some actress and stuff, in an attempt to make Ellen jealous (cause HE obviously is, though he's doing his best to hide it).

At Barbie & Ken's dream house, aka Joe and Karen's place, Karen looks at her phone bill and sees that it has $200 worth of charges on it to 900 numbers. Frank is spying on them from the telescope across the alley. Karen and Joe search for an explanation as to how they got there -- they call Alice to see if she maybe sent up a repairman while they were gone -- she didn't. Karen calls the number and finds out it's a sex line -- Joe seems a bit TOO interested in continuing the phone call, LOL! She then calls the phone company, and they tell her she has to pay the bill. She asks them to block all 900 numbers from now on.

Back to Matt and Ellen -- now MATT is talking about Alice! Wow, Alice gets TWO mentions today! And we haven't even seen her in what, a YEAR? I think maybe she's carrying on some sort of illicit affair with Dr. Boardman -- he's seen about as much as she is. That would explain where they've been all these months. Anyway, Matt tells Ellen how he went over to Alice's to do some plumbing repairs, and she stood over his shoulder the whole time, LOL! Ellen says she's always done that, even did that to her dad. And then Sebastian comes over -- he brings them dessert -- his treat -- and leaves. What a nice guy! Matt, however, isn't too enthused.

Back to Chris and Courtney -- Chris tells Courtney he'd LOVE to go to Greece someday, and proceeds to grill her further. She, as always, is totally clueless. Folks, this is the most hilarious freakin' thing you've ever seen! Watching Chris toy with Courtney is like watching a cat carefully stalking its prey before preparing for the attack and pouncing! I am LOVING it! You GO Chris! Courtney then asks Chris about how he got a tax write-off by creating a home office, and wants to go back to his place to check it out. Chris even tries to charm her into PAYING for dinner, LMAO!!!!!!! What a guy!

Matt and Ellen at Matt's place -- Matt tells Ellen that Sebastian is starting to bug him! He doesn't buy his line about wanting to be friends. And then, because we PC viewers aren't the brightest bulbs on the tree, and besides we get SO caught up in our IRONING, we get the obligatory flashback du jour -- Ellen flashes back to the discussion she had with Sebastian about fate and destiny and all that crap. Matt invites Ellen to bed -- she accepts. (Naturally!)

Back at Chris' apartment -- WARNING -- Gushing and drooling ahead -- Chris and Courtney kiss, and Chris takes off his jacket, and MY GOD hey looks good in that grey/black vest, with that tie and shirt, can this man POSSIBLY get any more gorgeous, oh I guess he could if he took OFF the vest, tie and shirt, and then . . . . ah well, just a nice little fantasy, ain't it! Well, I guess it's all we're gonna get since we haven't seen Chris shirtless since LAST MAY -- but anyway, um, where was I again? Oh yeah -- Chris proceeds to show Courtney his desk, sits down in his chair, and pulls her into his lap. (Boy, what I'd pay for him to do that to me!) He proceeds to tell her that complicated women are so much more interesting to him than anything, and he's SO charming that Courtney appears to have forgotten all about her little grilling session, and who wouldn't!

Back at Joe and Karen's, Joe wants to call that 900 number again out of curiosity, LOL! Karen says no -- and they begin to make out. Frank is watching from the telescope, and looking a bit TOO interested in this if you ask me! Then Frank picks up the phone and orders a subscription to a porno mag, to be delivered at Joe and Karen's place . . . .
